The annual "Bushwig" drag queen extravaganza went down this weekend on Saturday and Sunday at Secret Project Robot in Bushwick. As you can see from Gabi Porter's stellar photos, a fabulous time was had by all, including "Milk," the drag queen you'll remember from season six of RuPaul's Drag Race. You can spot her in photo number two, wearing long latex gloves covered in Crisco and eating chocolate pudding with her fingers. Just a typical Saturday night!

Our photographer notes that "some real highlights of the day were Bushwick’s very own Horrochata, Untitled Queen, and Merrie Cherrie (Dragnet). Merrie Cherrie lip synced Barbra Streisand's "Hello Dolly" with high kicking showboys and a guest appearance from Charlie Sheena doing Louis Armstrong that was truly transporting. It brought a tear to my eye, and elicited a heartfelt, 'That was cute,' from the queen standing next to me."

This is the sort of thing that makes us proud to be New Yorkers—everyone throwing down and getting freaky and nobody giving a flying fuck. Proceeds from Bushwig partially went to fund the creation of a permanent full time drag space in Brooklyn through a "radical diva grant."
