Coney Island Flicks on the Beach (website)

Monday, August 4th, 7:30 p.m.: see American Hustle

Notes: The movie is screened on a giant 40-foot inflatable screen on the beach at West 10th Street. BYO-picnic and low cut dress.

Bryant Park (website)

Monday, August 4th, lawn opens at 5p.m., movie at sundown: The Karate Kid

Notes: Get there early for a good spot, this place gets crowded! Blankets are allowed, as is your own food and drink, but vendors will also be available if you want to purchase something. Did you know they also have ping pong tables?

TUESDAY

Red Hook Flicks (website)

Tuesday, August 5th, 8 p.m.: Paris Is Burning will screen at Valentino Pier, in Red Hook.

Notes: BYO-picnic, though they do have vendors as well.

WEDNESDAY

Summerscreen (website)

Wednesday, August 6th, sundown: The Big Lebowski will screen in McCarren Park.

Notes: there will be food carts, live music after doors open around 6 p.m., and even free Wi-Fi. BYO-rugs, they really tie the room together, and maybe a low chair, because Summerscreen movies are on concrete.
