For some campy fun, Gothamist recommends the impossibly goofy looking 10.5, NBC's sweeps movie that starts tonight and conclude tomorrow. However, some say tonight's Alias is important because it'll give a lot of information we can't follow. What's nice about 10.5 is that you can see L.A. get wrecked, TV-disaster movie style, while upcoming summer movie, Day After Tomorrow, has New York being frozen over. There's some question as to whether Day After Tomorrow is an attack on the Bush administration's environmental policies; Gothamist Weather has been covering this minor controversy (on the controversy scale, it's a 4 out of 10, 10 being something of The Passion of the Christ proportions and 1 being diva-like behavior).

Zap2It talks with Beau Bridges about the movie: "It is about a quake. But it's also about human relationships and what's important to you at the end of the day." Yeah, that and being nutty enough for some hot 18-49 ratings for NBC. Other famous disaster movies: The Towering Inferno, Dr. Strangelove, The Poseidon Adventure, Twister.
