It's been a busy weekend filled with lots of exciting events, with the Occupy Wall Street march on Times Square, the Creators Project in DUMBO, and Comic Con 2011. But there was also room for one of our favorite events yesterday: the seventh annual Zombiecon! Though this year's theme was "A Game of Brains" (influenced by Game Of Thrones ostensibly), the bloody participants struck a decidedly political tone—and ultimately, many of the zombies made their way to Times Square to join up with OWS protesters. Zombiecon To Take Over Midtown (And More) Tomorrow
Zombiecon, the sixth annual all-day "landmark-hopping booze-fueled crawl" will unleash its brain-fueled fury on Manhattan tomorrow, beginning in Midtown. The theme this year is "brainless politics and zombie protest," which should generate some snarky punnery about things like the "Death Tax."
