A totally creepy story in the Post about a man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a friend last Halloween. Medical resident Jason Jaramillo, his wife, and a friend went to a costume party the weekend before Halloween, and Jaramillo was dressed as Johnny Knoxville, his wife as a flower, and the female friend as Wonder Woman.

At some point before dawn, Jaramillo, his wife, and the victim... left the party and went to an apartment on West Broadway.

With the fifth anniversary of September 11 drawing near, many related books are being released this and next week. One of the most intriguing is The 9/11 Report: A Graphic Adaptation by Sid Jacobson and Ernie Colon. Both have a rich history in comics: USA Today explains, "Jacobson, 76, created Richie Rich and was executive editor of Marvel and Harvey Comics, and Colon, 75, drew Casper and Wonder Woman" - but the book is a graphic interpretation of The 9/11 Commission's report on the events of Septemer 11, because they found it difficult to get through the 568-page report. Colon said, "For a government report, it was well written, but still hard to follow — lots of Arabic names, and a lot of things going on at the same time in different places." Slate has been excerpting the book, and from those excerpts, it seems to work very well.

Forbes has a fun nauseating feature on the homes of billionaires, and three of them are in New York (okay, one is in the Hamptons, but to a Billionaire With a Helicopter, that's practically one of the five-boroughs):

When billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg was elected, he declined to live in Gracie Mansion, preferring his own luxury digs nearby. Built in 1889, Bloomberg's townhouse has five floors and totals 7,500 square feet--including the chunk of the building next door, which he bought to enlarge his dining room. He paid $3.5 million in 1986, and today the house is worth many times that. Hizzoner also owns properties in Bermuda, London, Vail, Colo., and North Salem, N.Y.

Documentary Buffs should check out the critically acclaimed Double Dare, a look at two female stuntpersons: one, the aging Wonder Woman double who paved the way for female stuntpersons in the 1970’s, the other a young, brash Xena/Kill Bill stuntwoman. Investigating the history of the female-action hero genre, the film focuses on duality, women’s issues, and power struggles. The cast and crew will be present for tonight and tomorrow’s 7:30 PM screenings at the Quad Cinema [34 West 13th St]
