Tomorrow is Easter, which means the NYPD is getting ready for a different kind of tradition: The so-called gang initiation rites. Easter "Wilding" Shooter Gets 16 Years

Rayvon Guice, the 20-year-old who shot shot two women during a "wilding" last Easter, was sentenced to 16 years in prison yesterday after apologizing to the judge and his victims (who were not present) for his actions. A number of his associates attended his sentencing and offering vocal support for their friend, along the lines of "Hold your head up, son" and "yo, yo, yo." A teen who was arrested among many during the Easter Night "wilding" in Times Square pleaded guilty to a reduced charge. Initially Leroy-Jama Wigfall was charged with "charged with felony assault for allegedly spraining one officer's wrist and giving a second cop a concussion during his arrest."
