Those music know-it-alls over at The L Magazine have declared the Top 8 NYC Bands to watch for this year. Who's in the class of '07? Here's our Top 4 of their Top 8 (we sort of wish they'd put a rock show on with all of them):

Last week we had our fourth birthday party which featured: lots of cake, even more candy, subway condoms, some McClure's Pickles...and of course a few very good bands. Autopilot was out filming the show, here are two videos: the first of Ford & Fitzroy, the second (after the jump) of White Rabbits.

Our 11th Movable Hype show, and also our 4th Birthday, is coming up this Thursday! You can buy tickets here, and we suggest coming early. There will be gift bags (first come, first served), and a select amount will have special treats from clothier Le Tigre! Those will go fast, kids.

As we've been mentioning, Movable Hype 11.0 is coming up fast, and the show will also be our 4th Birthday Party! We've introduced you to the host, and two of the bands, and now we have the rest of the lineup for you.

Our 4th Birthday party and 11th Movable Hype show is just around the corner. We've introduced you to two of the four bands already: White Rabbits and Ford & Fitzroy. Now we've got a host for you: Adira Amram! We interviewed her back in October and recently saw her host a show, and knew this was the girl to host ours!

Last Friday we announced that White Rabbits are playing our next Movable Hype show. Now we'd like to introduce you to another band playing the show: Ford & Fitzroy.

We announced the first band in our 4th Birthday Party/11th Movable Hype show lineup last week (White Rabbits), and now a little flashback to the 10th show. Filmed by Autopilot, here is Ohio band Bad Veins, playing their 6th show ever.

Our 4th Birthday is coming up in February, and to help celebrate we'll be having a rock show (Movable Hype 11.0, to be exact). Details will filter in throughout the next month, but for now, we're pleased to announce that White Rabbits will be playing!
