We've already announced the lineups for days one, two and three at Gothamist House, and here comes day four (the final day). As a reminder, this year WOXY will be broadcasting from the space -- so if you find yourself at work you'll still be able to listen in! At the end of the week stay tuned for a Best of Gothamist House podcast, also provided by WOXY. Now, without further ado:

CMJ is coming up next month, and as we've mentioned we'll be opening the doors to Gothamist House again this year. We've got a big announcement to share, along with some little details of interest if you plan to attend any of the shows:

The countdown prompted us to start working on our own CMJ-week event a bit early this year. So we'd like to announce that Gothamist House will be back! Since we had a great time there last year it will be at White Rabbit on East Houston Street again from October 17th to 20th (running from 2pm to around 8:30pm). Last year we had some great bands play, including Loney, Dear, Apples in Stereo, Charles Bissell of the Wrens, Bound Stems, Land of Talk, Pela and a whole lot more.

A gazillion thanks to everyone who came out to support all the excellent bands who played The Gothamist House at The White Rabbit this weekend! We had a total blast putting it all together and watching it all play out more perfectly than we could have ever imagined. Our highlights of the three days are too many to mention right here, but the number of bands saying things like "We've never done anything like this" or "We'll probably never play this song like this again" really put a stamp on how special the event turned out to be. A huge thanks is due to all 24 of the bands that performed, as well as to the staff of the White Rabbit, who put in a ton of work to make the whole thing go off as smooth as we could have ever hoped for. If you were able to make it out, please feel free to share some of your highlights from the three days in the comments.

Home stretch! Today is the final day to swing by The White Rabbit and check out our little home we've been chilling at all during CMJ. You know the drill by now...Free to come, Happy Hour all day and great music, non-stop. 145 East Houston between Eldridge and Forsyth. Here's the lineup for today:

Thanks everyone so much for coming by and supporting all the unbelievable bands we had at The House yesterday. It really played out just as we could have ever imagined/hoped it would. Can't wait to get it all going again today!

After months of preparation, the first day of The Gothamist House at The White Rabbit is finally here! Surely you know the drill by now...Great bands, cheap drinks, thanks to the White Rabbit extending their Happy Hour throughout the day, and completely, no strings attached free to attend. So swing by the spot at 145 East Houston (Between Eldridge and Forsyth) and come say hi!

Today is officially the first day of CMJ! Starting this afternoon and going strong through the weekend, every music club in the city is going to be jam packed with hours upon hours of the hottest up and coming bands from all over the world. Seeing that we'd expect your regular Gothamist reader won't be equipped with a $500 badge, we decided to highlight some of the standout free events this week. While you will still be able to get into nearly all the night showcases by paying at the door, many of these bands will be playing for free anyway while they're in town.

Well, this is it. Next Friday's lineup at the White Rabbit. We've already posted Thursday and Saturday's shows, and here is the last one. Friday afternoon from 2-8. Come hang out and see all these great bands playing acoustic or stripped down sets with us. As with the rest of the days, the show is completely free, open to the public, and there is no badge or wristband or RSVP or anything like that required. We are absolutely stoked about how well this has all turned out, and hope see everyone at there next week!

7:30 - TBA!

We mentioned a little while back that we will be holding a series of day parties while CMJ is going on. With only a few weeks to go, we'd like to officially announce the lineup for the Saturday show, which will run from 2 till 8pm on November 4th at the White Rabbit on East Houston street. Each of the bands will perform a special acoustic or otherwise stripped down set. As we mentioned before, the shows will all be free and open to the public, so anyone (21+, unfortunately) is welcome to stop by, grab a drink and check out the bands! There is much more to be announced very soon, including the lineups for the rest of the days, so stay tuned!

We here at Gothamist have been working long and hard to put together something very special this year for CMJ. The annual music marathon that takes over the hipper parts of our city every Autumn is right around the corner, and we've got some very exciting news to share.

EVENT: The avant-gourmands from Radiohole (who have been blogging about their adventures in Vermont) will be giving “private-dingy palm readings and psychic-portraits featuring Peek-a-Boo Technology” at the grand opening party for Three Legged Dog. The company’s new home, which is at the World Trade Center site, was recently heralded by the Times as a sign of “hope” for the other stalled projects at Ground Zero. The party is free and boasts performances by League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots, Aldo Perez and other hopefuls. - John Del Signore

For some reason there doesn't seem to be a lot going on this week. Tonight Cold War Kids take over Pianos, catch them there before they're headlining Bowery (and then having that show switched over to Webster Hall to accomodate all of their fans). What we're trying to say is...there is buzz.

For a long time we didn't listen to Wolfmother just because they had "wolf" in their name. We were sick it. Wolfmother, Wolf Eyes, We Are Wolves..."how could any of them be better than Wolf Parade?" we thought.

Law & Order
In the lives of New Yorkers, the people are represented by two separate yet equally important groups: the makers of Law & Order, who consistently churn out topical, interesting, and entertaining programming; and the Law & Order fans, who eagerly watch the show and its offshoots on NBC, TNT, USA, and wherever else possible. These are their stories.
