Holy Tornado, Brooklyn! Reader Jeanne just emailed us with this observation: I live in Kensington, Brooklyn and I think that a tornado just passed through. A dispatch from the field - the Ditmars Boulevard field, that is - from Dan Dickinson, who says that there is no N service into Manhattan from Queens. Why? A broken rail at Lexington! Sometimes you can tell how much time has passed by using subway projects as time markers. Gothamist definitely remembers when the B and D trains were rerouted. But after reading the Times article about what the B, D, and other lines will actually be doing in 2004, we're totally confused.
