In March, much of the city will migrate to Austin, Texas for another SXSW (or, as we've learned to call it over the past few years: South By). This year we're hosting another day party with Austinist, and for the first time we've joined forces with another blog: Gorilla vs Bear!

For the past couple of years we've headed down to Austin for SXSW. One of the more enjoyable times of the year, can't really complain about an experience which includes: music, friends, avocado margaritas, sunshine and migas. That said, we'll be headed down again this year, the "festival" runs from March 9th to the 18th (Interactive > March 9-13, Film › March 9-17, Music › March 14-18).

We'd been gearing up for SXSW this year for months, with shows to plan and afterparties to help out with - it took up a lot of our time, even when we weren't there yet. Now that it's over, we're not quite sure what to do with ourselves, or how to recap it all. We also haven't been near a computer in a week, so bear with our slow typing.

Yesterday we announced details about the afterparty, and now we're gonna tell you about the "beforeparty" thrown by Austinist and Gothamist, subtitled: "Gonna Gonna Get, Get Down!".

This week, Gizmodo blogs live from Euro Disneyland. ("Live, from Marne-la-Vallee!") Gothamist hears that the Phantom Manor is excellent there and in fact, there's a fan page dedicated to it, Ravenswood Manor. At age 3, Gothamist's favorite ride at Disney World was "it's a small world", testing parental patience by insisting to go on it 7 times in one day.
