Last night, the Tribute in Light could be seen. Tribute in Light will be displayed on Sunday, September 11, but Gothamist suspects they were testing the memorial from its new West and Morris Streets location (atop a parking garage). This September 11, the City is encouraging people to make it a day of service through volunteerinng - here's information from the Mayor's Volunteer Center. What better way to get involved with volunteering than participating in NY Cares Day this Saturday, October 23. NY Cares has been sending volunteers to help tutor kids, organize libraries, teach seniors how to use computers, and on NY Cares Day, over 8,000 people will be helping out at city schools and raising money for them.
