The so-called "Vaseline Bandit" has been busted. Police this morning arrested Luis Gonzalez, the 40-year-old man they say was behind a string of robberies in Inwood and Washington Heights. He uses Vaaaaaa-seline. Cops think they've got a suspect in a series of robberies in which a prolific perp smeared Vaseline over the peepholes of his victim's neighbor's doors to cover his tracks. Police now suspect that Luis Gonzalez, 40, is the man behind the brazen crimes and are hoping to talk to him. Since September of last year police think he's hit at least 14 homes. more ›

Bad idea pubic hair: The Daily News got word of 18-year-old Matt Connor's recent Scientology prank involving Vaseline, toe nail clippings, and yes, pubes. After getting all slathered up, Connor (a member of Anonymous, an anti-Scientology group, who told cops his name was Mahoud Samed Almahadin) headed to the West 46th Street Scientology center and "tossed a number of books around, then smeared the petroleum jelly on a TV set, shelves."
