FESTIVAL: Conflux 2007 has arrived. Starting tonight and running through Sunday, their "annual New York City festival for contemporary psychogeography" will help re-imagine urban spaces with a series of events, lectures, workshops, installations, parties and so much more. ART: It's Dumbo First Thursday. The Gallery Walk will not only bring you to galleries, but also to artists' studios. "Gallery receptions, neighborhood dining and bars, and live music add to the evening’s festivities." Check out Space Invader's art while you're in the neighborhood.

COMEDY: OMG, we get like so many creepy myspace friend requests but this one made us LOL. Actually, it’s two friend requests in one, from Braeson Herold and Alana Harrison. But they’re not just groveling for “the add”; they want us to come see their show called Fake Friends Tour! The title doesn’t really make sense, because they're not touring and whoever heard of fake friends on myspace? But the way they blog about it we think it could be hilarious, zany or, like, extremely annoying: “We are two separate solo shows that are joining forces to become the greatest night of introspective comedy EVER!!! We've got it all: dirty talk, gay jazz, celeb impressions and near death experiences! We even have a massage so shocking it will alter your posture for life! THEATER: Playwright Tina Howe delivers the first play of Atlantic Theater’s fall season: “Birth and After Birth”. Though originally conceived in 1972, the comedy has yet to break water in New York City. It details the clash between Sandy and Bill, who were up all night preparing a birthday party for their four year-old son, and their guests Jeffrey and Mia, childless anthropologists who study primitive children in remote cultures. Be sure to capitalize on the theater’s laudable “Play for the Price of a Movie" initiative: 29 seats at every performance are available for $10 each and may be reserved in advance by calling (646) 216-1119 or bought at the box office (336 W. 20th Street) two hours prior to curtain. THEATER: Last time we saw the National Asian-American Theatre Co. http://www.naatco.org/ was in the charmingly quirky Cowboy vs. Samurai. Now, for something completely different: their next show, which opens tonight, is The Dispute by Pierre Marivaux, an 18th century French dramatist. In it, a prince confines two male and two female orphans to an artificial "Eden" until they come of age, then he sets them loose to see what happens -- who will succumb first to temptation? Not only is it sure to be good theatre, there's virtually a guarantee of interesting after-theatre conversation. - Mallory Jensen

PARTY: Rated X returns, again. This time to a new venue, the old Misshapes HQ: Luke & Leroys. With an open vodka bar from 10 to 11pm to get your night started off right, we're assuming they still have the discounted drinks for those who de-pant.

FAIR: Tom of Finland Foundation is holding the 6th Annual New York City Erotic Art Fair all weekend. Thousands of works of Erotic Art by artists worldwide will be for sale, or just for looking at (pervert). This includes all media, gender & sexual orientation. There will also be life drawing workshops. The opening reception is tonight, so get the first peek.

TOURNAMENT: When we were younger, we totally kicked a*s at Memory, but we're not sure that we'd do too well competing against the mental athletes at the National Memory Championship. The tournament consists of memory challenging tournament-style competitive events including memorization of: 99 names and faces, a shuffled deck of cards, an unpublished poem, speed numbers, and a list of 500 words. They will be broadcast on HDNet, Tuesday, April 18th at 10pm but you can catch them live this weekend.

This kind of weather makes us want to do one thing, and one thing only: walk through the snow filled streets with a hot chocolate in one hand and John Cusack in the other. Mmm...serendipitous. Reality, however, will leave us with wet jean cuffs as we trudge through dirty (and oft yellow) snow. But at least we'll be on the way to something fun.
