Believe it or not, Phish drummer Jon Fishman wasn't the first musician to use the vacuum cleaner as an instrument. Back in the late 1960s Iggy Pop brought the household item on stage with The Stooges... but did you know he also got use out of the things on a more domestic level? This photo shows the punk legend vacuuming in his Greenwich Village apartment in 1984, and more than likely it wasn't just for a photo opp.

Man Arrested For Sexual Assault Then "Tried To Get Freaky" With Brooklyn Cops
Well, if you're going to get arrested for sexual assault, why stop when you're at the police precinct? The Post reports that Brooklyn lawyer Barry Bondorowsky was at the 84th Precinct for allegedly assaulting a vacuum cleaner sales woman but he "tried to get freaky at the precinct -- groping the arresting officer and trying to kiss her male sergeant." Police sources say he "repeatedly tried to grab the [arresting] officer's buttocks" and smack his lips on her boss.
Even The Natural History Museum Whale Needs A Bath
Okay, so maybe it was really a vacuuming that the American Museum of Natural History Museum's Blue Whale received. But now you know that's how the 90-foot fiberglass model, which hangs in the Hall of Ocean Life, is cleaned: An industrial sized vacuum, a scaffold, and the attention of Rodolfo Valencia. Valencia gave the whale its last cleaning two years ago—a lot of dust has piled up since then! The AMNH told the Post, "It's his baby. He's very gentle with it. He's got this all mapped out. He probably knows every inch of that whale."
