It wasn't all weddings and drum circles at the newly-neutered Zuccotti Park: five Occupy Wall Street protesters (or OWS hangers-on) were arrested in the past three days for reasons ranging from throwing liquid in a cop's face to groping a woman. Most prominently, an alleged protester driving a Budget Truck was arrested during Thursday's "day of action"—and police say he had a .45-caliber handgun and 32 rounds of ammunition in the truck.

Capitalist Principal Who Took Kids On Furniture-Moving Field Trip Is Yanked
In a stunning blow to capitalist principles/principals this country was founded on, a Brooklyn high school principal who instilled the virtues of hard work and making an honest living by taking students on a furniture-moving field trip last month is no longer a principal. Altagracia Liciaga was removed from her post at Multicultural High School in Cypress Hills by the DOE a day before fall classes started, after it was revealed that Liciaga forced the students to ride unrestrained in the back of a U-Haul after an enlightening day of hauling filing cabinets. The Post reports that Liciaga even taught one student self-reliance, by letting them drive the U-Haul just a year after getting a driver's license.
Animal Rescuer Gets Jail For Hoarding Cats In A U-Haul
There's a thin line between being a cat rescuer and a cat hoarder: a Brooklyn man who ran a nonprofit animal rescue group, and claimed he was a cat rescuer, was sentenced to 60 days in jail for hoarding cats. Steven Hock was arrested for animal cruelty for housing 69 cats in a parked U-Haul van without air, food or water two years ago. "He is what the mental health community considers a hoarder but he considers himself a rescuer," said Brooklyn Deputy District Attorney Carol Moran
Robbers Ram ATM Machine With U-Haul Van, Grab Cash
Thieves rammed an ATM machine with a U-Haul van in an attempted robbery early this morning. It's unclear if they were able to grab any cash after they toppled an ATM near the corner of 112th Street and 3rd Avenue—though it appears they left the machine in pretty bad shape, based on this MyFoxNY photo. The thieves then drove off in the rented vehicle, but police were able to stop the van and apprehend one suspect in Soundview in the Bronx. According to police scanner reports, a second suspect, described as wearing all black, "fled on foot towards the Bruckner Expressway."
Terror Suspects Wanted U-Haul Truck to Target Fashion Week!
Now that Denver-area resident Najibullah Zazi may be admitting ties to Al Qaeda (apparently he met with some Al Qaeda operatives while in Pakistan) just a week after visiting Queens—prompting the FBI and NYPD to raid homes—the Daily News says apparently seven men attempted to "rent the biggest truck at a Queens U-Haul on Sept. 9."
