Did you hear about the new transfer at Bleecker Street that the MTA is working on? By 2012, the new station complex will make it easier to transfer from the B/D/F/M to the 6 line—it's going to be "very hip" according to this sign they put up announcing it. But as many, many of our readers have noticed, the agency managed to misspell "Bleeker" Street in their signage. The MTA has been known to let typos get through in the past , and at least this one wasn't set in tile, and at least the MTA is working on something to make commuting easier for us... but c'mon, Bleecker Street is a pretty historic street you guys!

Human Dumplings In Stock In Long Island City
Feeling like a zombie today? Hungry for some human flesh? Good news! From the looks of the picture our fine reader sent in, it appears the folks at Long Island City's Foodcellar Market have a few "human dumplings" still in stock. If you've been itching to try the cannibal lifestyle but find the idea of actually handling the meat unseemly, dumplings seem to us the perfect way to go.
NYC Transit's Top Typos!
As far as an underground typo is concerned, it's not all that important unless, say, the F train is donning an R. So we hope the folks at NYC Transit don't actually fix the harmless errors—that would cost money, and it's sort of fun to spot these while waiting for the train to arrive. That said, last week a reader noticed an over 70-year-old typo on a Brooklyn G train platform, which was quickly followed with more human spellcheckers sending in their own quirky finds (including this one for "Brighten" Beach).
