Emmanuel Reyes, 26, the ex-assistant manager who stole $12k in donations and souvenir sales from the Tribute WTC Visitor Center on Liberty Street, has been sentenced to six months in jail. A cashier at the Tribute WTC Visitor Center is accused of stealing $40,000 from donations and souvenir sales. The Post reports that the center's officials became suspicious of Emmanuel Reyes, 25, "after an audit showed that the register receipts were coming up short despite his effort to conceal the thefts." So they installed surveillance cameras and allegedly caught him in the act.
