So today we get a pleasant one-star review of the Pilsner Urquell-friendly Czech restaurant Hospoda that lives beneath the Consulate General of the Czech Republic. The food is good, the beer is remarkable considering there is only one type and "everything is prepared delicately, stylishly, the big flavors made demure by featherweight sizes, emphasizing modern presentation over traditional ones."

Bronx Teen Allegedly Stabbed To Death Over $10
A 17-year-old was stabbed to death early Saturday morning in the Bronx when he tried to get a $10 refund after he was kicked out of a house party. Police found Damien Martinez with a stab wound to the chest on Bathgate Avenue in Tremont; he was pronounced dead at the hospital. "They killed my brother over $10. My brother didn't deserve to die over $10," said sister Starleena Vargas.
Baby, Two Adults Killed In Bronx Apartment Fire
An apartment building fire in the Tremont section of the Bronx has left three people dead, including an infant. According to WABC 7, "The victims were pulled from the apartment building on Morris Avenue just after 8 a.m. The fire burned through several floors of the apartment building."
Tremont Neighborhood Faces Rezoning
City officials are looking to rezone about 75 blocks of the Tremont area of the Bronx, hoping to turn vacant lots into more profitable businesses. The Department of City Planning says in a statement that their goal is to "provide opportunities for new residential and commercial development in the 'heart of the Bronx.'" DCP spokeswoman Carol Samol tells NY1 that about 700 housing units are projected to be built in the next 10 years, and that they would impose height limits to preserve the character of the area. Uh oh, sounds like "SoBro" may be spreading!
Fatally Doored Cyclist Mourned by Community
Neighbors in the Norwood community in the Bronx are reeling from yesterday's tragic bus accident, which claimed the life of 57-year-old Megan Charlop, an avid cyclist and foster mom who was biking to Bronx schools to finalize a community gardening project. Charlop, who was nicknamed "Mother Teresa" for opening her home to poor and sick children from Africa and the Caribbean, died around 8:30 a.m. after getting clipped by a car door and falling under a NYC transit bus. Longtime friend Jeanne Cuffy tells the Daily News:
Another Bronx Teen Struck By Errant Bullet
Just one mile from the spot where 15-year-old Vada Vasquez was shot in the head by a stray bullet, a 16-year-old girl was caught in the crossfire after a Bronx house party, the Post reports.
