There's a group of guys, younger than Tony Hawk but older than your average skater punk, who refuse to give up their skateboards -- though admittedly they say they have nothing to rebel against anymore. Skateboarding doesn't have to be about rebelling though, sometimes it can just be about...commuting?

Wallenberg, a Williamsburg resident, said that the doctor at Beth Israel believed that a lot of the burn would scar permanently. She is considering legal action against Con Ed, which is now partially burnt onto her back. Wallenberg, a receptionist and DJ, is described by the Post as a 26 year old skateboarder. Note to the Post from Gothamist: no describing people as skateboarders unless they are Tony Hawk, et al.

The Post lets us know where the hot post-MTV Video Music Awards parties are going to be, who is expected to be there, and how to crash. Venues include the Four Seasons (Madonna, Fatboy Slim, Fred Durst), Show (P. Diddy's bash, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce Ed Burns, the Hilton girls), Tao (Avril, Tim Robbins, Rosario Dawson, Tony Hawk), Splashlight Studios (The Donnas, Drew & Fabrizio, Iggy Pop), and we're sure enterprising kids will be photoblogging the festivites. This is more Gizmodo territory, but the Game Boy Advance SP is just too cool not to mention. And there are new Zelda and Tony Hawk games for it! The Daily News features the Game Boy Advance and the Nokia N-Gage.
