Ouch. After providing a small glimmer of hope by (narrowly) beating the LeBron-less Cavs Friday night, the Knicks fell back to earth in spectacular fashion in Detroit the next day. The Pistons defeated the Knicks by an astounding 91-61 Saturday in a game that was the low point of the current season...and that's really saying something. Jamal Crawford led the team in scoring with 14 points. Yes, 14. In case you're wondering, the Knicks have......

These Knicks columns are just writing themselves lately. Gothamist was on hand late Friday night along with Jay-Z, Beyonce, and Ludacris to witness Stephon Marbury dribble aimlessly for 20 seconds, then pass to a flummoxed Jamal Crawford with one second on the shot clock and all but gift-wrap a narrow 92-91 victory for the Houston Rockets. When the crowd all expects that you'll find a way to lose, a change is certainly in order. After......

2005 continues to be a bleak year for the Knicks, and coach Lenny Wilkins is bound to take the fall for it. Another fourth quarter collapse resulted in a 98-81 loss to the way below .500 Toronto Raptors last night. The collection of embarrassing losses to sub-par teams is just another in a long line of disappointments for Knick fans, who are probably used to such mediocrity by now. The Knicks may have even topped......

The very average Chicago Bulls pulled out of town last night with their second "W" over the Knicks in 3 days. What is amazing about this is that both games were literally lost at the buzzer (in fact, Ben Gordon's runner put the Bulls ahead with .1 second to play) due to poor Knicks play. Yesterday, NY actually had an eight-point lead with just over three minutes left, yet somehow managed to stop scoring and......

It was a terrible night for fans of New York hoops. Even Isiah Thomas couldn't buy a piece of good basketball news. The Nets suffered a severe blow to their comeback hopes when it was announced yesterday that Richard Jefferson will be out with an injury for the remainder of the season. Jefferson ruptured ligaments in his left wrist, which requires surgery followed by four months of time in a cast or in physical therapy.......

After an embarrassing drubbing by LeBron James and his scary facemask on national television Saturday, the Knicks ended a 4-game skid and returned to the .500 mark with a 113-105 victory over the Portland Trailblazers on Sunday. While Gothamist isn't sure if Portland fans came en masse to the Garden wearing plaid shirts, 70's Brawny paper towel guy hair, and mustaches, we'd certainly like to think this was the case. The shooting was the story,......

January hasn't started so well for the Knicks. Despite a stellar night from Kurt Thomas (23 points, 11 for 15 shooting) and another solid 28-point performance from 'NBA Player Of The Week' Starbury, the Knicks are 0-3 for the month after losing in Miami 102-94 on Wednesday night. The Heat started well and never really let the Knicks into the game, capitalizing on the Knicks' lack of an actual center by, as Bill Walton might......
