Despite the warm winter weather, coat drives have not lost momentum this season in comparison to coat sales.

We loved that show "Ed", we really did. Did you know that the town in it, Stuckeyville, is Nyack, NY? Anyway, we were quite happy to see Tom Cavanagh (Ed, himself) is back on the tube, this time in the form of Tom Farrell in a show called Love Monkey.

Last night Gothamist waited an hour in the rain at Tribeca Film Festival, as only a few volunteers handled the long lines for ticket pick up. Although we were drenched and missed our movie, we did get to see Kermit the Frog dressed in a suit (hugging Robert Deniro) as well as Stella's Michael Showalter (we held back from screaming Wet Hot American Summer lines) before presenting his romantic comedy The Baxter, which you can preview here.

NBC is so brilliant, figuring out how to keep me watching on Friday night. They are putting Ed on Friday nights at 9PM. And what does one watch after Ed? Why Law & Order: SVU. This is the best Friday night line up since X-Files at 9PM on Fox, then Homicide at 10PM on NBC during the 1994-1996 seasons (maybe it lasted longer). Ed is the perfect complement to Law & Order. Folksy goodness, then creepy sex offenders. Hurrah!
