The massive Giants Super Bowl ticker tape parade on Tuesday wasn't just about shredded Social Security numbers and Mike Tyson spotting: a group of rowdy Giants fans took some time out from their celebrating to wreck havoc upon a parked police car. One person stomps on the hood of the car and breaks the front window; another gets yanked off the car by a cop. Watch two videos of the scene below.

Some office workers tossed whole pieces of paper out of their windows during the Giants' ticker tape parade on Tuesday—and some of those papers included medical information with Social Security numbers. Other companies probably thought they were fine because they used shredded paper... but this photo shows that one firm probably needs a cross shredder, because this is clearly a stock call option. Probably with enough digging and tape, you could put together the whole document!

Yesterday's ticker tape parade for the Super Bowl XLVI Championship Giants was boisterous and loud. But our embedded reporters noticed that whole pieces of paper were thrown out of windows, instead of locally-sourced confetti or shredded paper—in fact, in some instances, it seemed like someone opened up a new ream of paper and threw a stack of sheets out. Now, Inside Edition has discovered that at least some office workers were throwing papers with people's personal information—like SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS—out during the revelry!

Giants Fans Crowd Streets For Ticker Tape Parade—1 Million Expected!
Did you have to battle crowds of people wearing #10 jerseys during your commute this morning? The Giants Super Bowl XLVI celebratory parade begins at 11 a.m., and crowds are already 10-15 people deep along the route. Our Tien Mao is at the scene and reports that a fan told a Department of Sanitation worker, "You're going to hate me, I have silly string." The DSNY worker replied, "I have overtime."
City Hall Is Getting Ready For The Giants!
Workers have been busily preparing the stage for tomorrow's post-ticker tape parade ceremony where Mayor Bloomberg gives the Super Bowl XLVI Champion Giants keys to the city. The ticker tape parade begins at 11 a.m. at Battery Place and Washington Street, and then the floats go up the Canyons of Heroes to Worth Street, to be showered with tons of locally sourced confetti, which is an upgrade after toilet paper celebrations.
MTA Issues Warning To Avoid These Stations During Super Bowl Ticker-Tape Parade
Given the massive crowds expected downtown tomorrow to celebrate the New York Giant's Super Bowl win, the MTA has issued a press release instructing fans on what subway stations to use, as well as which ones to "avoid." According to the MTA, these because of the anticipated mob scene, these stations will be bypassed starting at 10 a.m.: The Fulton Street 4/5, the Fulton Street A/C, the Wall Street 4/5, the City Hall R, and the Chambers Street-WTC (the E will discharge customers at Canal Street, A and C will bypass). Please make a note of it, and if you are insane plan to be there, here's which stations the MTA recommends using:
City Prepares For Super Bowl Ticker-Tape Mess-strava-ganza!
As the New York Giants await their flight back to Newark today, mingling awkwardly with morose members of the New England Patriots, the city gets ready to clean up the dozens of tons of ticker-tape that will be bombarded upon the streets of Manhattan Tuesday. Cue up some 80's cleaning montage music!

Colbert Salutes Troops from ASV, Quinn Wants Parade
Last night Stephen Colbert kicked off a two-part tribute to the troops who have served (and continue to serve) in Iraq. The show started with Colbert riding in a tank Armored Security Vehicle [ASV] outside the Comedy Central studios near the West Side Highway, and ended with an interview with Vice President Joe Biden, who served hot dogs to a studio audience packed with recently returned troops. The Yankees are on their floats up the Canyon of Heroes for the ticker tape parade. Not only are there members of the Yankees organization—MVP Hideki Matsui is modestly waving to the crowd—but former mayor Rudy Giuliani, Michael Kay and super fan Freddy Sez are in various cars! Oh, and Mayor Bloomberg and manager Joe Girardi are on the first float, with the trophy—and Jay-Z is on the street, waiting to get on his float.
City Readies For Yankees Ticker Tape Parade
Over a thousand pounds of confetti has been delivered to downtown buildings for tomorrow's ticker tape parade to celebrate the Yankees' 27th World Series win tomorrow. The shredded, recycled paper is being donated by Atlas Materials in Red Hook; Atlas' John Cioffi told NY1, "It will all be cleaned up by the sanitation department and recycled yet again. So this is going to be a green parade."
Details About Tomorrow's Yankees Ticker Tape Parade
With another Yankees World Series win to celebrate, the city is putting on a ticker tape parade tomorrow. According to the city, "the parade will begin on Broadway at Battery Place at 11:00 a.m. and continue northbound up the Canyon of Heroes to Chambers Street. The parade will be followed by a ceremony at City Hall Plaza, at which the Mayor will present the Yankees with Keys to the City."
Flashback: Apollo 11 Ticker Tape Parade
The folks at Inside the Apple remind us that today is the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 ticker tape parade (following the moon landing on July 20th, 1969). The parade was for for Buzz Aldrin, Neil Armstrong, and Michael Collins, and "at the time, many claimed it was the largest ticker tape parade New York had ever seen. Though they note this claim is impossible to verify, there were around 4 million in attendance.
