The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m.. Not only could rain come, but WCBS 2 mentions that "hail up to to 2 inches in diameter, with thunderstorm wind gusts to 70 mph and dangerous lightning are possible in parts of the tri-state" area.
