Last year we held a Laughable Hype Comedy Show at Tonic, a funnier version of our Movable Hype shows. This year, we're holding another one and it's going to be just like this Pitchfork Festival party - except, minus Sunset Rubdown, Voxtrot and the Joggers. Day 1 was long, but we managed to get a few hours of sleep and gear up for the rest of week. Last Thursday we started off our day at the South By Stereogum party. Brisket on white bread was served, Fat Tire beers were distributed and Aziz Ansari was hosting the show, which had a solid lineup: Aloha, What Made Milwaukee Famous, Thunderbirds Are Now!, Rogue Wave and Ted Leo. In February of 2005, we booked New York band The Cloud Room to play our 2nd Movable Hype show.
