Apparently, while filming the sequel to the smash "The Simple Life," Paris Hilton was thrown from a horse while shooting. The diva of bad home movie judgement was airlifted to a hospital on the Gulf Coast. It turns out she didn't even come close to being the next Christopher Reeve -- she came out with no serious injuries. The possible jokes about the incident seem too many to mention, but Gothamist likes the money quote from the TV studio's spokesman. "Whenever you're dealing with talent, you always want to be extra careful." And with her skills, such caution she deserves to receive.

Right, so Gothamist was totally crazed yesterday got our dates mixed up. Today is the Christmas tree lighting at Rockefeller Center, where you can freeze your buns off with hundreds, probably thousands, more. Or you can watch it at home at 7PM on WNBC Channel 4, and be all warm and settled in to change the channel to Fox Channel 5 watch The Simple Life at 8:30PM and The O.C. at 9PM. Sigh, we heart Adam Brody.

Norm: "Is your mother black?"
Nicole: "Yes, she's black. Do you want to ask her if she's black? This woman's black [pointing to another partygoer], do you want to ask her?"

Additionally, reviewer Brian Lowry adds a "critical aside" on the sex tape: "While it's easy to admire the hand-held camerawork under difficult conditions and a modest budget, the night-vision photography is off-putting and obscures too much of the action." That's just what Jonno said on Fleshbot! And Extra ran a segment on the Simple Life yesterday. We can't wait for the show.

Gothamist like military night vision home video fine, but we think we might like Paris Hilton's actual upcoming Fox television program, The Simple Life, with Nicole Richie better, if the Daily News' David Bianculli's review is any indication: "If you're looking for entertaining television, look no further. I don't know what her sex tape makes her look like, but 'The Simple Life' makes her look like an idiot." Brilliant!
