With unseasonable weather descending upon much of North America, schools getting ready to reconvene, and sports seasons getting exciting, it's a busy time of year for us here in the Ist-A-Verse. Luckily, even with all the things we have to do, we still managed to get together to let you know what we've all been up to.

Shanghaiist probably knows a little more about China than the Chicago Sun-Times. Giving them the benefit of the doubt on that one. The city does to have a music scenei. Don't even front like they don't. They also have Dorrito bananas and white guys shopping for wives. What they don't have is any more tolerance for jaywalkers.
End of a Winning Streak
The Mariners went ahead in the eighth inning, again with the help of the Yankee defense. Rookie, Jeremy Reed, hit a hard smash down the line that former infielder, Tony Womack, misplayed, allowing Reed to get all the way to third. Two batters later, the Mariners got the winning run on a single to centerfield.
Yanks Take Two of Three from Seattle
On Friday night the Yankees bats exploded for eleven runs. Bernie Williams continued his hot hitting, launching his 15th homerun of the year. Ruben Sierra hit a grand slam and Jorge Posada added a solo shot. The game was 10-0 going into the bottom of the fourth inning. Jon Lieber was able to hold on to the ten run cushion and go eight innings for his ninth win of the year. Lieber allowed seven hits, 3 earned runs and zero walks while striking out 4 in the 11-3 win.
The Fog of War
Freddy Garcia, once a player named in trade speculation, is gone. The Mariners said that Dioner Navarro and Robinson Chano were just not enough for him, so they traded him to the White Sox. Who does that leave for the Yankees to go after? Kris Benson, Russ Ortiz, Ted Lilly and Jamie Moyer are some of the names that rumored to be available. The big name out there is Randy Johnson. With Arizona falling further and further behind in the race in NL, all eyes are on the Big Unit.
