Andy Borowitz's talent transcends mediums. He's conquered TV with The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, the Internet with The Borowitz Report, the stage with his stand up and regular host of The Moth, a story telling series, and books with his tomes The Republican Playbook and Who Moved My Soap: The CEO's Guide to Surviving in Prison. What's next for this master of humor: the future!

COMEDY: Sara Schaefer's latest show is at UCB, following up her long running series "Sara Schaefer is Obsessed With You" with a new show called "Video Gaga". The night features Schaefer counting down funny music videos for you (we've been told that tonight will include The Fresh's Myspace video), a live musical act (tonight it's Erin McKeown), special guests and glittery dance numbers! (We hear she has her own version of Fly Girls!).
Gothamist has talked up the virtues of PSNBC before for it's quality shows and ability to scout out great talent. Tonight, PSNBC Presents Andy Borowitz at the Marquee Theatre (356 Bowery between E. 3rd and E. 4th streets) at 8pm. While Borowitz has been around for a while, his political satire has been prominent in the media recently and he has gotten wide attention from his website, The Borowitz Report, but we still remember him best from his days as one of the creators of The Fresh Prince of Bel Air.
Since we had such success with the first Gothamist Event, .
- And most of all, you, the readers who came out to enjoy an evening of music and meeting new people. Thanks for all your support!
Tonight, 8PM, at the The Knitting Factory, four bands are coming together to play: The Fresh, The Sons of Sound, Snowden, and Asobi Seksu. Plus, Tarts of Pleasure is deejaying between sets. There are $2 drink specials from Triple 8 Vodka, some Gothamist t-shirts to be given away, and Gothamist will be donating our proceeds to a NYC public school program from DonorsChoose.org.

When The Fresh isn't playing some hip venue in the Silver Lake region (that's LA's answer to Williamsburg), we're betting he's locked up in an artificially dark room somewhere just south of Hollywood Blvd surrounded by keyboards and guitars. A virtual mad scientist of musical standards, the Fresh isn't a musician, he's a performer. An award winning one at that, just ask the Malibu Film Festival. To learn more about the Fresh check out his website, where you can download most of his songs. His debut east coast performance is Tuesday at the Gothamist show, so be sure to get there for his 8pm set (more details after the interview).
