A new book by the Catholic Church's self-proclaimed exorcism expert alleges that Pope Benedict XVI performed an exorcism on two possessed men in St. Peter's Square three years ago. It's not Caturday, but it might as well be at the NY Times. There are two (TWO!) big cat stories. The first is about how the $4,000 hypoallergenic are in demand. We're still not sure about hypoallergenic cats, but these kitties certainly look very sweet. And the article mentions the travails of Harlem Fur's cat Cimbi and owners Cheryl and Chris. They decided Cimbi needs a new home last week given Cheryl's allergies - and we're sure Cimbi will new loving home soon - she looks like a doll and even likes to be walked on her leash. more ›

Each month, Loews 34th Street re-releases films on Thursday nights at 8:00 PM and this month's theme features Ghostbusters II (Oct. 13th), Mary Shelley's Frankenstein (Oct. 20th), and The Exorcist (Oct. 27th). While we love Ghostbusters, we’re a bit wary of Frankenstein (seriously, who listed that as their fan favorite?!), but again, its free, and there’s nothing better than scary movies in a dark theatre.

The Daily News tours the urban apartment zoo of Antoine Yates. the man behind such escapades as "these tiger-sized bite marks are from a dog" and "teaching the NYPD how to get a tiger out of a Harlem apartment." The Housing Authority has successfully evicted Yates from his five apartment (five?) and gave him time to clear out. The DN reports that it smelled like a rancid pet store. He tells the DN that he and Ming liked to watch movies (The Godfather, Carrie and The Exorcist), while Al the alligator stayed in a room that had a poster of Lil' Kim.
