Sometime last night Jersey Shore's Snooki was trapped inside of a clear ball that was dropped (what, 15 feet?) during a fake New Year's Eve countdown. And that is just one of the many reasons we're ready to put an end to 2010. To recap, the Jersey Shore starlet was supposed to do this in Times Square tonight, during the real countdown to 2011, but she was banished to Seaside Heights. The taping of the stunt last night will air on MTV tonight, and Snooki is already back in NYC pre-gaming.

Barricades, Sanitation Trucks, Cops Protect Obama
President Obama is currently taping a segment at the studios of The View on the Upper West Side. Onlookers were greatly outnumbered by police, but that could have something to do with the various sanitation trucks and barricades set up on the quiet Upper West Side street (yup, if you saw the pictures of the set up outside Vogue editor Anna Wintour's Greenwich Village house, the scene of one of two Manhattan fundraisers Obama will be attending, it's that...uneventful).
Iron Chef "Bogus" Says Voice Critic Who Saw It Live
About a year ago, Village Voice restaurant critic Robert Sietsema attended a taping of Iron Chef America at the Food Network's Chelsea studios. Thanks to a friend's invite, the Food Network had no idea he was watching and waiting to blow the cover off the whole phony operation once the episode finally aired. Now Sietsema is here to report that the series is “more bogus than even I had imagined.”
