A fight inside a Lower East Side halfway house early Wednesday morning resulted in the stabbing of a 50-year-old man, and his murderer is still on the loose, the Daily News reports. Police "recovered a blood-spattered knife" on Attorney and Stanton streets, nearby the The Stanton House, which is on 190 Stanton. Around 9 p.m., three people were shot on Stanton Street near Attorney Street. None of the injuries seem to be life-threatening and the victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital. According to WABC 7, "One victim was shot in the shoulder, one in the chest and the last in the stomach. Police are looking for at least one man who fled the scene." more ›

The body of a 17-year-old boy was found outside 205 Eldridge Street (near Stanton) earlier this morning. He had a gunshot wound in the head and was pronounced dead at Bellevue. Witnesses said they heard shots around 2 a.m. A motive is not known at this time. more ›
