Oliver Stone may have already unleashed on moviegoers his melodramatic vision of 9/11 with but even if you don't want to see the wreckage recreated on screen, there's way more filling New York movie screens.

Tickets for Robert Deniro’s lovechild have gone on sale, offering over 150 films, documentaries, a free movie “drive in”, and an outside street fair. While movies range from the highly praised and much hyped Mad Hot Ballroom, be aware that acclaimed home video actress Paris Hilton’s horror opus House of Wax will also debut. So please, don’t drink and buy tickets. Highlights include:

Another documentary that will be exploding on to big screens this summer is Riding Giants. A visually captivating look at big wave surfing, Riding Giants had the honor of being the first documentary ever selected to open the Sundance Film Festival.

The eagerly anticipated collaboration between Joshua Albertson, Lockhart Steele, and Jonathan Van Gieson, Book of Ages 30, is out in bookstores (free same-day delivery in Manhattan from Barnes and Noble with purchases over $25), on the shelves of Amazon (and other online retailers), and perhaps even at a library near you. And naturally, the website goes live with a blog about all things 30. You can also explore more about the book which promises to be the first in a series that will herald landmark birthdays. Hmm. As it will be Gothamist's dad's 60th birthday next month, we might have to make due with giving him two copies.

AdAge AdWeek looks at the ten very bad advertising campaigns. Entries include the Fox Sports "Mike Tyson as baby-sitter" spot and Sony Pictures David Manning debacle. But coming in at number one was the "kiddie porn" Calvin Klein campaign.
