In the wake of the death of a 34-year-old mother of 13, who was killed in a gang shootout while picking up one of her kids from school, local Brownsville residents started imploring people to "start snitching" to save lives. But after you see the video below, in which a victim is chased down and beaten up for "snitching" after being seen talking to cops, you might understand why it's still easier said than done for many:

Friends Of Bronx Shooting Victim Demand Justice
In the aftermath of three November shootings in which innocent Bronx teens were gunned down, friends of one of the victims are urging witnesses to come forward. Following the death of 17-year-old Issi Ariel Dominguez — who cops believe was not the intended target when a gunman fired into a crowd after a party this weekend — friend Ruthie Gomez told NY1: "You better snitch, we are going to find him. We are going to find whoever did it, I don't care."
What to Do with Pesky Drug Dealing Neighbors
So we know what keeps you awake at night, but what do you do about it exactly? One Brooklyn resident, for example, is wondering how to get the drug dealer living in the building to STFU. They write:
"I live on the first floor, and I know for a fact that there's a drug dealer in my building. I can hear the transactions happening since they're actually dumb enough to think their voices don't travel through my door when they're standing right next to it. This makes me extremely uncomfortable to know that this type of activity is so close to home. I want to call the police and report this, but I also am wary of the 'don't snitch' edict in this neighborhood. I should also mention that even when not dealing, this guy and some friends are usually smoking blunts in the hallway from 12 a.m. to 2 a.m. on weeknights."Quite the pickle! You'd think all that second-hand pot smoke would make this person chill out, but considering pot-dealing is a gateway to murdering your neighbors on the first floor, we guess they have reason for concern.
