A skydiving instructor is suing his former boss for firing him because he allegedly touched a woman inappropriately while he was strapped to her back plummeting to the earth. Before the jump, Donald Zarda (Facebook) told the woman, identified only as Rosanna, that she shouldn't worry about him groping her because he's gay. The student later complained to Zarda's boss at Skydive Long Island, claiming that Zarda touched her "in a way that made her uncomfortable." Maybe he should have let her pull her own ripcord? more ›

Two Elderly Men Die While Skydiving

Two men in their 70s who bonded over a passion for skydiving died together over the weekend after their parachutes became entangled about 100 feet about the ground in Pennsylvania. Theodore Wilson, 70, was a well-regarded retired accountant who grew up in the Bronx and volunteered to help abused children at the Bronx Community Health Network. NJ resident George Flynn, 75, was a retired ironworker and a grandfather of seven. Both men were extremely experienced skydivers; Wilson had logged 545 skydiving jumps in his lifetime, while Flynn had logged 1,497 jumps. Skydiver Celebrates as Third Leg's the Charm

Two months after he lost a prosthetic leg midair, Scott Listemann has completed a successful skydive with his new (new) leg. Listemann made the jump with his replacement leg just two days after it arrived. The jump went so well that Listemann, a veteran skydiver, was considering going for two more jumps this weekend. The original prosthetic disappeared into thin air during a jump in Gardiner, NY and never recovered despite his best efforts to track it down. It my have have come off because of sweat on his stump. Listemann lost his real leg below the knee in November after a dump truck ran him over. He said the jump with his replacement leg was "absolutely wonderful." more ›
