Eliot And Silda Out On The Town

The last time former governor Eliot and Silda Spitzer voluntarily submitted to photographers' gazes was when Eliot Spitzer announced his resignation. More than a year later, the Daily News spotted them at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel: "The smiling couple joined hundreds of Education Through Music friends and supporters at the eighth annual Children's Benefit Gala honoring Grammy-winning violinist Joshua Bell... They sipped cocktails and occasionally cast lovey-dovey looks at each other while shooting the breeze with folks." The couple, spoofed on SNL after Eliot's downfall, celebrated their 21st anniversary last October. The former governor is working for his father's real estate company and it was reported last year that Silda Spitzer was working for a hedge fund.

New York Magazine reveals Silda Wall Spitzer has been working at a hedge fund since last month. The former corporate attorney will "be helping recruit new investors at Metropolitan." The Observer thinks the job "sounds suspiciously very much like what a hedge fund 'marketing executive' does," citing a W magazine article, where one person explained, "Guys who have a load of money [invested] in these big funds are often pigheaded, type A male personalities. They want a hot chick with a nice ass and nice boobs who is going to come in and sell the fund to them." Still, the Observer points out given Wall Spitzer's age (she's 50) and accomplishments, she's "hardly a bimbo," and suggests she's up for "a little revenge socializing."

Eliot Spitzer and his wife Silda Wall-Spitzer celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary Friday with a smile. The Daily News pens the dramatic line, "Seven months since he ripped a hole in her heart and left her with little to do but cry." But the paper says that Silda has made her peace with Eliot's very public transgressions and is planning to stay with her husband. On their first anniversary to fall since Spitzer's downfall in March, a friend of the couple's said to the News, "I'm sure it will be a little strange. Things have certainly changed since their last one." The two were spotted having breakfast at a Madison Avenue deli, not all that far from where they married at the Central Park Boathouse in 1987. After breakfast, the couple headed off to their farm upstate to celebrate in private, as they've mostly remained in the months since the scandal broke.

Hey, check out who is looking terrific--it's Silda Wall Spitzer!

The NY Post caught former governor Eliot Spitzer and Silda Wall Spitzer at NYU Medical Center yesterday evening. The Post has a photo gallery and wonders, "Could it have been couple's therapy?"

While call girl "Kristen" is getting a lot of attention, the thoughts and feelings of Governor Spitzer's wife Silda Wall Spitzer are still the object of much curiosity. The Post spoke to a friend of hers who said Wall Spitzer is most upset about Ashley Alexandra Dupre's age (22).

Multiple sources say that Governor Eliot Spitzer is resigning and has begun notifying top state officials of his decision and is now scheduled to speak at 11:30 a.m.. Of course, he was expected to step down , but it seems that after "an agonizing night," his resignation is all but confirmed. (The Times has a Q&A conducted with Paterson in January; like Spitzer he's a big Hillary Clinton booster.)

Last year, in the middle of his woes with the State GOP (right before Troopergate exploded), Governor Eliot Spitzer revealed his wife said to him, "What was wrong with going into the family business? That wouldn’t have been so bad." Now, people are probably wondering the same thing, as her husband apologized (sort of) for using a prostitute the night before Valentine's Day.
