In November, Marc Jacobs was featured in a South Park episode as shirtless action figure "Muscle Man Marc," so it's only fair that Jacobs repay the tribute and feature a nude Eric Cartman on a t-shirt created to benefit The Interdisciplinary Melanoma Cooperative Group at New York University.

Russell Simmons Promises More Branding Of Occupy Wall Street
Russell Simmons has been attempting to co-opt the Occupy Wall Street movement for quite some time now, even though not everyone wants him to be there (he has been asked to leave countless times—see below video). Yet he returns to show his face, push his Rush Card debit card, make a few statements to the cameras, and get his photo taken. Recently, he even pat his pal Jay-Z on the back for introducing an "Occupy All Streets" t-shirt to the Rocawear clothing line. Thing is, Rocawear is profiting from the sales, and not giving a dime to the protesters (so far, that fact hasn't changed). Now Billboard magazine has published an interview with Simmons, after tossing him some softballs last week. When asked about the t-shirt, Simmons says:
Dov Charney Declares "Teenagers Do It Better" On New T-Shirt
American Apparel has teamed up with Electric Youth Magateen, which celebrates "the magnificent vitality, energy and power of young male adulthood." The product of their collaboration: a t-shirt that reads "Teenagers Do It Better," which comes with this souvenir JPEG of a scantily clad teen in undies and a cut-off version of the conversation tee. (Just in time for mandatory sex ed classes in NYC!) HuffPo calls this Dov Charney's "first foray into sartorial pedophilia, creating a shirt that glorifies teens engaging in sex."
Fashion Inspired By... NYC's Air Pollution, 2nd Hand Smoke
If you're detoxing after Fashion Week (or simply still escaping its fumes) maybe this shirt can help you live a cleaner life. The "Warning Signs" duo of Nien Lam and Sue Ngo have created two designs, one a heart and one a lung. They say, "when the wearable senses carbon monoxide, the piece subtly changes color and pattern to indicate higher levels of carbon monoxide in the atmosphere to the wearer and those around him or her." Fun :(
OMG, WFP Unveils WTF? MTA T-Shirts!
The MTA may be able to keep the WFP from posting their parody posters in subway stations, but they can't keep disgruntled straphangers everywhere from wearing these shirts! (Or can they?) The Working Families Party sent out an email to supporters saying, "This shirt expresses the reaction of so many New Yorkers to the MTA's ever-worsening fare increases and service cuts -- and it helps send a message to politicians in City Hall and Albany that they should be doing more to support transit riders."
Dems Take Aim At Espada With "Napoleon Dynamite" Knock-Offs
Remember State Sen. Pedro Espada — the embattled Bronx Democrat who put Republicans in power when he shifted party affiliation? Remember "Napoleon Dynamite" — the movie that wasn't nearly as funny as people thought it was? Well now you can have a tee-shirt that will forever link the two.
Confederate Flag Shirt Troubling for Staten Island Boy
Staten Island may be south of Manhattan, but it’s still not so far south that you can get away with wearing a Confederate flag T-shirt without some people getting offended. According to the Staten Island Advance, 12-year-old Shaun Hines has had to endure a lot of name-calling because of his decision to repeatedly wear his Confederate flag T-shirt around school. The school's administrators don’t have a problem with the shirt, but apparently some of his classmates have interpreted it as kind of racist.
The Whitney and The Gap Create Artist T's
The Whitney, being so modern, has joined forces with The Gap, the founders of which talked about opening their own museum just last summer. The retailers aren't quite trying to set up shop in the new downtown outlet, but they are getting their T's imprinted with famous artist designs thanks to the museum (and the nonprofit Art Production Fund).
Apollo Braun Designs "Jews Against Obama" T-shirt
Orchard Street designer Doron Braunshtein (aka Apollo Braun, pictured) is at it again; in March he launched his "Who Killed Obama?" t-shirt and now he's added a new political statement to his line: the $250 "Jews Against Obama" t-shirt.
