After being lured from her Bronx home by a sexual predator seven months ago, an 11-year-old has returned home, and told the Daily News about how her kidnappers pimped her out to men in their Lower East Side apartment. The girl managed to call her grandmother, who told her to run from the Delancey Street apartment while her captors slept. She was eventually found by cops, and is undergoing treatment at a Westchester clinic. She said of her captors, "I want them to go through pain 24 hours a day. I want someone to make them do stuff the way they made me do stuff...I want them to go through what I went through. I think about nothing but anger."
11-Year-Old Details Kidnapping Into Sex Slavery
Billionaire Sex Offender Clarifies He's Not a Sexual Predator
Billionaire investor Jeffrey Epstein was recently released from prison after serving 13 months in jail for soliciting a minor for prostitution, and he's back in his natural habitat on the Upper East Side. But don't let that fool you into thinking he's learned any humility from his legal troubles: he made it clear to the Post yesterday that a rich perv by any other name is still a rich perv. "I'm not a sexual predator, I'm an 'offender.' It's the difference between a murderer and a person who steals a bagel," Epstein posited.
MTA Subway Conductor Caught in Internet Perv Sting
A 31-year-old subway conductor was busted on Thursday for sending sexually explicit messages and attempting to meet with whom he believed to be a 14-year-old girl on the internet. The person on the other side of the IM screen turned out to be an undercover cop, and Louis Velez was arrested when he showed up to meet with his underage lover. Queens DA Richard Brown said in a statement, "For all its good, the Internet is also an open door to your home which allows sexual predators easy access to your children. Once a predator believes he has found a vulnerable target, he can move with surprising speed - as this case frighteningly illustrates."
Victim: Rikers Guard is Two-Time Sex Offender
On Rikers Island, an openly gay female guard says she was sexually assaulted while on the job—but not by inmates, by one of her fellow corrections officers. The News reports how Andrea Thompson crossed paths with a group of drunken peers, including Officer Sean Hall, in the mess hall on New Year's Day. "I am going to get you to wear dresses, high heels and let your hair down," he said, according to a statement by Thompson. Then he lunged at her, pinning her against a refrigerator.
Sex Offender Finds an E-ZPass Right Back to His Dirty IM Ways
A sex offender who had lost his teaching license a little over a year ago for making sexual advances online to several adolescent boys was apparently up this old tricks again while working for E-ZPass. After a supervisor spotted Bradley Dieffenbacher's picture in an article about sexual predators, he had the company's computers searched and discovered that once again the former middle school teacher was sending hundreds of instant messages while searching for sex with minors—17 pages worth at his new job. The Daily News says that it is unclear how long Dieffenbacher was working at E-ZPass, but he was fired immediately after the new material was uncovered and then turned over to the Department of Probation. Dieffenbacer had been arrested last year after police found IMs where he had sexual conversations with several of his former students and attempted to have one masturbate while being filmed by a web cam. He will now head back to jail before his next stab at a new public sector career.
