Nassau County police has arrested a 23-year-old female teacher for an alleged sexual relationship with a 15-year-old female student. According to the police, Kaitlin Grant was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual act and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. The earth science and math substitute teacher reportedly met the teen while teaching at Freeport High School.

Queens Art Teacher Charged With Sexually Abusing 6 Kids
For the fifth time in the last month, a city school worker has been charged with sexually molesting children in school. Brett Picou, a 30-year-old art teacher at Public School 52 in Queens, has been accused of sexually abusing six 9- and 10-year-old girls at the school. Picou is awaiting arraignment on seven felony counts of sexual abuse, one felony count of repeated sexual abuse of a child and seven misdemeanor counts of forcible touching. One of the alleged 9-year-old victims described his behavior to NBC: "He was touching my ears like this, and tickling me in my neck. He's always saying, 'Oh, do you miss me? 'Cause if you didn't miss me, you would have hugged me.'"

Police today arrested 49-year-old P.S. 174 computer teacher Wilbert Cortez, 49, and charged him with second-degree sexual misconduct against a child and acting in a manner to injure a child under 17.

Charles Oross, a 44-year-old teacher at IS 238 in Queens, has been arrested for allegedly engaging in a lengthy sexual relationship with a 13-year-old student when she attended his school [PDF]. According to the student's statements, the pair met regularly with Oross between January and May 2009 in his classroom for 6 a.m. hook up sessions that included "oral sex and physical touching" before having sex for the first time in June 2009. Oross is charged with rape, criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child.

Syracuse University Basketball Coach Accused Of Child Sex Abuse
A longtime assistant basketball coach at Syracuse University has been placed on administration leave after being accused of molesting two former ball boys. Bobby Davis, 39, said that coach Bernie Fine, who has coached at Syracuse for 35 years, molested him “hundreds of times” over a ten-year period, beginning in 1983, when he was entering seventh grade. The second alleged victim, Mike Lang, now 45, is Davis' stepbrother, and was also a ball boy for several years—he claims Fine started molesting him in fifth or sixth grade.

[Update below] A man who has been linked to two sexual assault charges in Zuccotti Park has been arrested. 26-year-old Tonye Iketubosin of Crown Heights allegedly raped an 18-year-old woman from Massachusetts early Saturday morning, and sexually assaulted a 17-year-old woman on October 25th. According to the Wall Street Journal, he has been charged with third-degree sexual abuse, and the DA's office states that charges related to the alleged rape are "pending."

Special-Ed Teacher Admits To Raping 15-Year-Old Boy
A 42-year-old female special-ed teacher in Queens yesterday pleaded guilty in Queens Supreme Court to the third-degree rape of a 15-year-old boy. As punishment, in addition to surrendering her teaching license and registering as a sex offender, the teacher, Christine Williams, is expected to be sentenced to 90 days in jail and ten years probation in July. Williams had sex with the boy (who was not her student) at least twice last year in her Jamaica, Queens, home.
Jewish Day Camp Counselor Accused Of Molesting Camper
It's never a good thing when a young witness identifies a photo as, "Uncle Joe, bad person." Joseph Passof, the head counselor at the Flatbush Park Day Camp, is accused of molesting a 5-year-old boy in the bathroom at summer camp last summer. He was arrested Wednesday and pleaded not guilty yesterday, and lawyer Jay Cohen says that diabetes and high blood pressure has rendered Passof impotent.
Ex-Cop/Karate Teacher Gets Nearly 22 Years For Molestation
Earlier today Trent Young, a 42-year-old former NYPD officer, was sentenced to 262 months in jail for transporting three different minors across state lines for illegal sexual activity. It is highly unlikely that Young will get a chance to serve his nearly 22 years in jail though—his sentence was delivered to him at the prison ward of the Westchester Medical Center where he is currently being treated for a cancer that the FBI refers to as terminal.

Parents Claim Autistic Son Sodomized By Older Classmate
The parents of a 6-year-old autistic boy enrolled at PS 168 in Mott Haven are suing the school for not keeping track of an 11-year-old boy who was caught abusing and sodomizing their son in the school bathroom. A man was arrested and charged with sexual abuse, endangering the welfare of a child, and attempted petit larceny after allegedly assaulting a 6-year-old at the M&M's World store in Times Square. The Post reports, "Ismael Jimenez, 22, was standing behind the 35-year-old dad, whose daughter was propped on his shoulders, as they rode the escalator in the mega-store on Broadway at West 49th Street at 4:15 p.m. Monday, sources said. Suddenly, Jimenez kissed the kid on her thigh, sources said." Naturally, the dad freaked out and security called the cops.

LI Man With HIV Gets 14 Years For Unprotected Sex, Abuse
Yesterday, a convicted sex offender who admitted to having unprotected sex with boys and men ages 16 to 20—while not telling them he had HIV—was sentenced to 14 years in prison. Oceanside resident Robert Musmacker, who knew he was HIV positive since 2005, had pleaded guilty to 25 charges, including reckless endangerment, criminal sex acts and endangering the welfare of a child, and was also sentenced to 15 years of post-release supervision.
Pediatrician Charged With Producing Child Pornography
A Long Island pediatrician and civil surgeon has been arrested and charged with producing after child pornography after admitting to videotaping female patients—some as young as 11. After a raid on his office, police uncovered at least five videotapes of Dr. Rakesh Punn fondling patients, some of whom were blindfolded and naked. Nassau County DA Kathleen Rice said in a statement, "He victimized these trusting, young girls in the worse way imaginable." Investigators also believe Punn may have drugged some of his patients.
