So apparently Upper East Side eateries Nello and Serafina are at war. According to the Post Nello Balan and his boys have gone and snatched up the 61st Street property where the posh-pizza joint Serafina has been spinning pies for more than a decade. What's worse, Nello bought the property for $21 million when the Serafina folk thought they'd already settled a deal to buy it for $19.5 million. But, this being a story about real estate in New York, the story does not end there.

Paparazzi Love A-Rod More Than Biden
According to Page Six, paparazzi were annoying the Secret Service yesterday, all in the name of A-Rod! The photographers were outside of Serafina on the Upper East Side, while the agents were "closing the street for" Biden's arrival at the Regency Hotel. Page Six's source claims, "The agents asked them to move. It was comical to see the cameramen didn't care about the vice president -- they wanted A-Rod." Well, A-Rod was at the restaurant with Cameron Diaz. However, Diaz left the restaurant alone so the paparazzi had to ask Gay Talese if A-Rod was still there. Talese was ready with a response: "He's probably with some blonde in the bathroom." True, Alex Rodriguez does have blonde ambition.
Snoop Dogg Caught with Pot Outside of Lotus
Snoop Dogg, in town shooting BET interviews last week, was caught green-handed with the drug he claimed to give up at age 30: pot. The rapper was busted outside of hotspot Lotus last Wednesday for marijuana possession, and was issued a desk appearance ticket. The Post reports that didn't stop Snoop from partying the very next night, with his 25-strong posse, at Serafina and the tapas lounge Lollipop (somewhere in between they ordered 15 pizzas, so we're guessing there may have been some weed around that night, too!). During one of the BET interviews, he claimed the accusation was "bogus".
