First of all, ready to feel old? Before Sunrise came out about 16 years ago. Exactly nine years after that, the follow-up Before Sunset was released, and now it's been almost nine more years since that happened. So naturally, the movie's star Ethan Hawke is thinking of revisiting the characters in a third movie. Fun fact: the actor was 25 in the first film, and would be around 43 when the next one comes out.

Sex and the City Sequel Trailer FINALLY HERE!
Puppies in purses, pink cupcakes, penthouses! It's the just-released Sex and the City sequel trailer, soundtracked by Jay-Z's "Empire State of Mind," of course:
SJP Regrets Sex Sequel
Well this is an interesting publicity route: Sex and the City starlet Sarah Jessica Parker told the London Daily Mail that she regrets signing on for the Sex sequel! She says her work schedule has cut the amount of time she has with her surrogate-borne 4-month-old twins, Tabitha and Marion. She told them: "One [baby] would prefer to be held 24 hours a day, and the other is already suffering from type A issues. It's been amazing but complicated because of my current work schedule, which I have enormous regrets about." [via Village Voice]
Cougar Town or Sex and the City?
Seen any cougars prowling your neighborhood lately? As the Sex and the City gals film their sequel around town, the NY Post takes a look at the aging foursome a whopping 11 years after we first all got to know them. The paper, which points out the women range from 43 to 53 years old these days, says, "One is more likely to sport burp cloths than Manolo Blahniks on the weekends."
Sex And The Casting Call
You may have seen a lot of SJP-wannabes yesterday around 18th Street and 6th Avenue, as the extras casting call for the Sex and the City sequel were held. The listing called for "models, celebrity types, upscale socialites, urban clubgoers, gays and lesbians, international types (Middle Eastern, Arabic, Asian, European, British) and professional soccer players" (NYMag has more photos in their slideshow if you can't get enough of what that smorgasbord looked like).
Sex and the Sequel
Since the first Sex and the City movie took in around $400 million, was there ever any question that a second was was around the corner? Writer and director Michael Patrick King has now confirmed it, and that all four leading ladies will be back on the big screen come summer 2010 (which means it will be impossible to escape Carrie & Co. for the next year). The Village Voice is taking some guesses as to how the sequel will play out ("Big's salary is capped at $500,000!"), but NYMag doesn't think another tragedy is in store after King explained to E!: "In the last movie, I thought (fans) wanted to see an epic and violently tragic love story, and drama, but I don't think you go to that candy store twice." Coming in 2011: the Sex and the City prequel?
Ghostbusters out of Retirement, Rumors Include Rogen
This Friday brings good news, as Variety is reporting that the Ghostbusters are making their way back to the big screen. This isn't some thrown together, B-list, straight-to-DVD sequel, either. They say "the studio has set The Office co-exec producers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky to write a script for a film designed to bring back together the original cast of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson." No word on yet on whether or not they'll be going to hell in this one, but other rumors surrounding the third installment are running rampant.
Cloverfield Sequel on Hold
SciFi.com is reporting that the Cloverfield sequel is on hold until an idea as interesting as the original is thought up. This is according to director Matt Reeves, who also said, "We're still kind of toying with what it's going to be and whether or not we're going to find something that will be as exciting for us to make and, hopefully, for an audience to watch. So we'll see. It's really in the baby, baby stages. And right now it's definitely on hold until we come up with what that would be." All previous chatter has suggested a prequel, and Reeves confirms that it's under discussion. [via Pop Candy]
Is New York Ready for Another Cloverfield?
If you haven't tired of Cloverfield yet, chances are you will by the time the sequel hits the big screen. That's right, the monster smash will be followed up, and it may be soon. Variety reports that Matt Reeves is already in talks with Paramount to direct, and it may even be his next project. When we interviewed him earlier this year, he said his next project would be The Invisible Woman, but now that may get pushed back for this sequel.
