Ryan Gosling, Zooey Deschanel, Steve-O Are Pissed At McDonald's

Remember last month, when McDonald's landed itself in some hot water over allegations that their egg supplier horribly mistreated the chickens responsible for Egg McMuffins? The fast-food giant dropped the producer, Sparboe Farms, right quick, but for some celebrities, that just isn't enough. A completely random assortment of celebrities, including Ryan Gosling, Zooey Deschanel, Steve-O and Alicia Silverstone have signed a letter from Mercy for Animals to McDonald's CEO Jim Skinner asking the chain to adopt stricter animal welfare policies, like they already have in place in Europe. The tagline? "I'm Hatin' It." more ›

Holy Hey Girl, What If Ryan Gosling Were The Next Batman?

Holy Hey Girl, What If Ryan Gosling Were The Next Batman?

Rumors are being spread via pageview-grabbing headlines that Ryan Gosling might be the next Batman, when the franchise gets rebooted following the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy. The rumor, however, quickly gets traced back to this HuffPo piece, which is just based in some fun with casting, and has no actual validity. But it's too late, the seed has been planted, and America needs Ryan Gosling to be the next caped crusader. In fact, if this doesn't end up becoming a reality, whoever does get cast as the next Batman is pretty much screwed and Hollywood might as well just set the Batcave on fire and bury it in a cemetery that Ryan Gosling can go visit with his girlfriend one day, because that's how he rolls. more ›

Photos/Video: Protesters Outside Of People Magazine Declare Ryan Gosling Is The "Sexiest Man Alive"

Earlier today masked protesters were spotted outside of the People magazine's headquarters—with their spirits unbroken, and their voices raised loud. These people were Ryan Gosling fans, and/or Buzzfeed employees, who are simply outraged that the magazine declared actor Bradley Cooper to be the sexiest man alive this year. Did their protest affect change? No. But they fought the good fight. And while no injuries have been reported, we're betting there are some broken hearts amongst these brave men and women. more ›

Ryan Gosling Fans Will Protest Outside Of People Magazine TODAY

This week Bradley Cooper was named 2011's Sexiest Man Alive, but many believe Ryan Gosling was robbed of the title he so deserved. And it's true, even if Cooper can speak fluent French. So far this year Gosling has stopped violence with his bare hands, walked his dog, dated a lot of beautiful actresses, and... other stuff, probably. more ›

We Want This Ryan Gosling With Puppies Public Art Project To Be Real

The Public Art Fund has created a rendering of what could be the world's greatest public art project. Greatest work of art, even. This is all eerily similar to dreams we've had. more ›

Ryan Gosling, Michelle Williams Threaten To Quit Acting

This week, as millions upon millions of people go to their cubicles to give the universe its daily payout of dying hopes and dreams, a couple of young, good looking, wealthy actors are all, "we can do whatever we want in life." And so it will be. First we learned that Ryan Gosling would like to quit acting to become a daddy, saying, "I don't want to act much longer... I'd like to be making babies but I'm not, so I'm making movies. When someone comes along I don't think I'll be able to do both and I'm fine with that. I'll make movies until I make babies. I have no idea when the handover will happen." more ›

Video: Ryan Gosling Is Embarrassed About Breaking Up That Street Fight

Overnight internet sensation Ryan Gosling has finally spoken out about that somewhat awkward scuffle he jumped into earlier this summer, right on the mean streets of Astor Place. The then unknown Gosling decided to break up a fight going down in the middle of an intersection, where a man had been stopped after stealing a painting. Gosling eventually paid the artist for the work, and the thief was sent on his way with the stolen item, learning absolutely nothing about the consequences of his actions. Because everything is, this was all caught on tape and later put into the YouTubes, making the young man famous (he's even since been cast in a movie called Drive which we hear is really good). Watch him blush below—this kid's got a future!: more ›

More Video: Ryan Gosling: Hero, Or Art Theft Enabler? You Decide!

Still have some questions about Ryan Gosling breaking up that NYC street fight earlier this week? There are so many answers on the internet! First off, US Magazine talked to a witness that had the real story, saying, "There is a man who sells paintings [that] he makes on that corner. This older man ran by him and tried to grab and run away with one of his paintings. The painter was able to stop him before he took off with him and tackled him to the ground." Yawn, not enough Ryan Gosling in that eyewitness account, but it gets more interesting when Our Hero steps in... more ›

Ryan Gosling: Not A Fan Of NYC's Turkish Baths

Ryan Gosling is in town, eating gyros and making tv appearances. Last night he told Jimmy Fallon: "Have you ever been to the Turkish bath? I had some fantasy about it, like being waved with palm leaves and being fed grapes. And it's not that at all, it's just some big, hairy Turkish guy who washes you with a bar of soap. And he was just washing me with this bar of soap and I'm like, 'Am I paying for this? This is terrible." You can watch the whole thing here and here, where he explains how the Turkish guy's belly came into contact with his tongue. Yeah, you're gonna wanna wash that down with a little bit of Hey Girl, featuring Ryan Gosling's contagious laugh: more ›

Ryan Gosling Allegedly "Checked Out" Chloe Sevigny On The Street (Also, They Look Alike)

Actress Chloe Sevigny is currently taking a break post-Big Love, right here at her East Village home, where she told the Daily News, "I hate being busy in New York. I'd rather just sit in Tompkins Square Park all day and not do anything." During the little interview she reveals a few things, like how she enjoys fashion and cocktails—preferably together (who knew!?!), but mostly she sticks to the details about where you can find her. She added, "I go to this party on Sundays at Sway, it's like a Smiths night thing. I go eat at Raoul's all the time... or Omen... Veselka." more ›

Red Alert: Ryan Gosling Embedded in Moving Crew!

Moving in New York just got so much easier (on the eyes). People, prepare to swoon: Ryan Gosling was been spotted on East 7th Street in the East Village today with a moving crew. Allegedly he's researching a new role, and Vanishing NY reports back with all the details (and more importantly, photographs): "Word on the street is he's doing research for a new movie called Blue Valentine in which he plays the part of a mover. (His co-star is Michelle Williams.) So he’s traveling around town with Steinway Movers, lugging furniture and boxes in and out of a big red and yellow truck." And we're guessing as this news leaks, Steinway movers will be getting a lot more business. more ›
