Rumors are being spread via pageview-grabbing headlines that Ryan Gosling might be the next Batman, when the franchise gets rebooted following the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy. The rumor, however, quickly gets traced back to this HuffPo piece, which is just based in some fun with casting, and has no actual validity. But it's too late, the seed has been planted, and America needs Ryan Gosling to be the next caped crusader. In fact, if this doesn't end up becoming a reality, whoever does get cast as the next Batman is pretty much screwed and Hollywood might as well just set the Batcave on fire and bury it in a cemetery that Ryan Gosling can go visit with his girlfriend one day, because that's how he rolls.

Earlier today masked protesters were spotted outside of the People magazine's headquarters—with their spirits unbroken, and their voices raised loud. These people were Ryan Gosling fans, and/or Buzzfeed employees, who are simply outraged that the magazine declared actor Bradley Cooper to be the sexiest man alive this year. Did their protest affect change? No. But they fought the good fight. And while no injuries have been reported, we're betting there are some broken hearts amongst these brave men and women.

Overnight internet sensation Ryan Gosling has finally spoken out about that somewhat awkward scuffle he jumped into earlier this summer, right on the mean streets of Astor Place. The then unknown Gosling decided to break up a fight going down in the middle of an intersection, where a man had been stopped after stealing a painting. Gosling eventually paid the artist for the work, and the thief was sent on his way with the stolen item, learning absolutely nothing about the consequences of his actions. Because everything is, this was all caught on tape and later put into the YouTubes, making the young man famous (he's even since been cast in a movie called Drive which we hear is really good). I had some fantasy about it, like being waved with palm leaves and being fed grapes. And it's not that at all, it's just some big, hairy Turkish guy who washes you with a bar of soap. And he was just washing me with this bar of soap and I'm like, 'Am I paying for this? This is terrible." He tells us, "There was a small electrical fire at Pianos this morning—the sprinklers went off and soaked everything, so we're going to have to close the club tonight. Things will resume as normal tomorrow for the Unisex Salon/Vulture Whale show."

Moving in New York just got so much easier (on the eyes). People, prepare to swoon: Ryan Gosling was been spotted on East 7th Street in the East Village today with a moving crew. Allegedly he's researching a new role, and Vanishing NY reports back with all the details (and more importantly, photographs): "Word on the street is he's doing research for a new movie called Blue Valentine in which he plays the part of a mover.
