Herman Cain's Accuser Wants To Respond To His Sexual Harassment Denials

Herman Cain's Accuser Wants To Respond To His Sexual Harassment Denials

GOP Presidential candidate Herman Cain is currently the subject of an awful "witch hunt." Yes, he may have been accused of sexual harassment by two different women during his tenure at The National Restaurant Association in the late 90s. But Cain has said that he's never sexually harassed anyone, and never came to a "settlement" either. Sure an "agreement," may have been reached to pay one of the women $35,000—a year of her salary—but remember the late 90s, with all its "free love" and "Macarena?" Now, the woman who accused Cain of misconduct and took the severance pay wants to speak out, but is barred from doing so by the terms of her agreement. more ›

Glenn Beck Will Leave NYC On Some Future Date

Glenn Beck Will Leave NYC On Some Future Date

Earlier this month, Fox News confirmed that chalk addict Glenn Beck was leaving the network sometime this year. Which is why it makes sense that he's leaving New York City, too. He told a crowd over the weekend, "We were each born with a purpose, born at this time for a reason. I don’t care what your [situation] is, your job is. You were born here for a purpose and the first thing you’ve got to do is… have no fear. Have no fear..." and, "The last thing I will be doing, I will be leaving New York City." more ›

Death Threats For Objecting To Limbaugh's Hu Jintao Rant

Death Threats For Objecting To Limbaugh's Hu Jintao Rant

Queens State Assemblywoman Grace Meng is one of many officials who have demanded an apology from Rush Limbaugh for his bizarre mockery of Hu Jintao and Chinese people in general. You'll recall that Limbaugh was highly suspicious of Hu's speech during his joint press conference with President Obama last week, because there was no simultaneous translation. So instead of blaming the media or White House, he blamed Hu for speaking in his native tongue, and went on a mocking fake-Chinese language rant, complete with "ching chong," reminiscent of Rosie O'Donnell. In case you missed it, here's Colbert's take below (it starts around the 40 second mark): more ›

Twinkie Dieter Loses 27 Lbs, Rush Limbaugh Approves

Twinkie Dieter Loses 27 Lbs, Rush Limbaugh Approves

Well, this isn't going to be good for America's obesity problem (or is it?): Mark Haub, a professor of human nutrition at Kansas State University, put himself on what some are calling the Twinkie Diet or the Convenience Store Diet... and lost 27 pounds in two months. While he did include some vegetables in his diet, every three hours Haub would treat himself to a snack of sugary cereals, Oreos, Hostess products, Doritos, or some other junk food item (Meat Munchkins?)—all to prove that in losing weight, it's counting calories that really matters. more ›

Limbaugh Says Jets Locker Room Catcalls Were "Celebration"

Limbaugh Says Jets Locker Room Catcalls Were "Celebration"

All we needed to tie this Ines Sainz locker room harassment story together was a little frat wisdom from insane clown sage Rush Limbaugh. And now we have it! On his radio show, Limbaugh opined on the most important issue of the week: "She knows she has an ass-et... Depending on what part of the country you're from, Boob-alicious, booty-licious, she's got it. She's making no attempt to downplay it or hide it because she wants access for her yob [sic]" Referencing celebrating "Love Your Body Day," he said: "As far as I can tell, Ines celebrates her body daily, not just once a year... The team was celebrating her body." Why do feminists hate celebrations?! Ugh. In case you've forgotten how revolting this guy is, listen below: more ›

Rush Gets $11MM For Apartment, Garish Furniture And All

Rush Limbaugh is making good on his promise to "get out of New York totally," and has finalized the $11.75 million sale of his Upper East Side apartment to "international purchasers." And Limbaugh was apparently so eager to relocate to Florida that he left the apartment furnished and decorated. Luckily, the buyers were reportedly "especially attracted to the richly designed space." Now they have the luxury of waking up every morning and looking at cherubs holding flowered garlands right above their heads! more ›

Limbaugh. "Cracker." Steinbrenner. Sharpton.

Limbaugh. "Cracker." Steinbrenner. Sharpton.

Oh, Rush! Controversial right-wing radio host Rush Limbaugh decided to pay tribute to Yankees owner George Steinbrenner during his show by espousing Steinbrenner's capitalist tendencies, "That cracker made a lot of African American millionaires."—uh, what about the white millionaires—"George Steinbrenner, the classic capitalist. Everyone around him became wealthy... And at the same time he fired a bunch of white guys as managers left and right." Hear his clip below. more ›

Limbaugh Finally Leaving Manhattan

Limbaugh Finally Leaving Manhattan

After bitching about "ridiculous" income taxes, radio host Rush Limbaugh vowed to leave the city and never look back. And now, to the joy of every New Yorker who has ever told an out-of-towner to get out if they can't handle the city, he is actually leaving! Limbaugh reportedly sold his gaudy East 86th Street condo for $11.5 million. The 10-room apartment boasts Central Park views and skies painted right on the ceilings, but sold for about $3 million less than he originally listed it for. The city raked in about $325,000 in transfer taxes from the sale. So, where is Limbaugh off to next? We hear Costa Rica is really nice this time of year. more ›

Clinton Blames Blogosphere for Political Extremism

Clinton Blames Blogosphere for Political Extremism

Yesterday marked 15 years since the bombings in Oklahoma City killed 168 people, and former president Bill Clinton told CNN on Friday that he sees many similarities in the political climate between then and now. Last night he elaborated on his comments on ABC's "This Week," saying the level of political dissent from groups like the Tea Party is dangerous. "We shouldn't demonize the government or its public employees or its elected officials," he said. "We can disagree with them, we can harshly criticize them. But when we turn them into an object of demonization, we increase the number of threats." more ›

Glenn Beck Compares Health Care Reform To Hindenburg

Glenn Beck Compares Health Care Reform To Hindenburg

Glenn Beck was in top form on his Fox News show yesterday, as he railed against the House's passage of health care reform. When not slamming the "California hippie, Marxist, communist, socialist progressives with flowers in the barrels of guns, sitting around smoking dope and talking about how they can destroy the evil American empire," he mocked how Democrats were calling the bill historic. more ›

Paterson Used State Airplane For Campaigning?

Is this a weekday? Then there must be a new Paterson scandal to report! This time, Gov. Paterson allegedly used a State airplane for non-State activities last month, including campaigning in Hempstead and Rochester, the Voice reports. Paterson took the trip north on Feb. 20 to attend an outdoors hockey game in Syracuse. Paterson left the game quickly (after being booed during his introductory speech), and spent the rest of the time upstate campaigning, days before testifying about obtaining World Series tickets. more ›

"Nothing Wrong" With Limbaugh (Health Wise)

After being rushed to a Honolulu hospital for "chest pains" on Wednesday night, radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh said yesterday that doctors "found absolutely nothing wrong" with him. Apparently the doctors found no evidence of arterial or coronary disease—he urged people to take their heart or chest pain seriously, adding, "The treatment I received here was the best that the world has to offer. I don't think there's one thing wrong with the American health care system. It is working just fine." Limbaugh also said that he's taking prednisone for back pain. more ›

Rush Limbaugh Calls Sotomayor A "Reverse Racist"

Rush Limbaugh Calls Sotomayor A "Reverse Racist"

Radio host Rush Limbaugh had plenty to say about Sonia Sotomayor's nomination to the Supreme Court: "Here you have a racist — you might want to soften that, and you might want to say a reverse racist... [Liberals] of course, say that minorities cannot be racists because they don't have the power to implement their racism. Well, those days are gone, because reverse racists certainly do have the power. ... Obama is the greatest living example of a reverse racist, and now he's appointed one.” Limbaugh was referring to to Sotomayor's past statement during a speech (read it here), "I would hope that a wise Latina woman with the richness of her experiences would more often than not reach a better conclusion than a white male who hasn’t lived that life,"—and then noted how "wise men like Oliver Wendell Holmes and Justice Cardozo voted on cases which upheld both sex and race discrimination in our society." Politico reports that Limbaugh also complained about moderate Republicans (of course!), "I'm the one doing the heavy lifting. Colin Powell panders to moderate Republicans. If the moderates in the Republican Party offer no way to address this danger, then they are useless.” more ›

Colin Powell Discusses Cheney, Limbaugh

Colin Powell Discusses Cheney, Limbaugh

Former Secretary of State—and New York native— Colin Powell was on CBS's Face the Nation and addressed criticism he's received from his Republican party brethren. Earlier this month, former VP Dick Cheney said, "If I had to choose in terms of being a Republican, I'd go with Rush Limbaugh. My take on it was Colin had already left the party. I didn't know he was still a Republican." This morning, Powell said, "I am still a Republican. I'd like to point out that in the course of my 50 years of voting for presidents, I have voted for the person I thought was best qualified at that time to lead the nation. Last year I thought it was President-now Barack Obama." He also said of the GOP, "I think the Republican party has to take a hard look at itself and decide what kind of party are we? I have always felt that the Republican party should be more inclusive than it generally has been over the years." As for the radio host's influence, Powell noted, "If he is out there, he should be subject to criticism...He shouldn’t have a veto over what someone thinks," referring to how GOP chairman Michael Steele had to apologize after criticizing Limbaugh. more ›

Judith Regan Seeks Payback, Publicity

Controversial publisher Judith Regan dropped a 70-page lawsuit on her old bosses at Harper Collins and News Corp yesterday. The $100 million defamation suit claims she was the victim of a smear campaign in order to protect Rudy Giuliani's presidential bid (read: Rupert Murdoch's political agenda). She states they asked her to lie to federal investigators about her one-time lover and former police commish, Bernard Kerik (who at the time was working with Regan on... more ›

A is for Apple, O is for OxyContin

A is for Apple, O is for OxyContin

If they're good enough for Rush Limbaugh, they're apparently good enough for our City's school kids. The Post reports today that there are twice as many NYC eighth graders illegally using painkillers like OxyContin and Vicodin than there were five years ago. This surge has lead authorities to a crackdown on pushers, nabbing five NY State doctors who were peddling the stuff to kiddies. Both drugs are opioid derivatives similar to morphine (Vicodin also contains acetaminophen, which is the active ingredient in Tylenol) and can be highly addictive. more ›

Friendship Goes to the Dogs

Friendship Goes to the Dogs

Breakups are hard, but when animals are involved, fuhgeddaboutit. The Post reports that two good friends and roommates are now in the middle of a $4 million squabble that involves "$1 million in monetary damages and $3 million in punitive damages" - and the ownership of a West Highland terrier named Ollie Pablo. After two years of sharing a Tribeca apartment, Alexis Carroll and Michelle Clarity, both 26, went from being BFF to BEFN (Best Enemies For Now), with Carroll had her lawyer filed a "notice in court" against Clarity, charging "extortion, assault, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, and breach of contract" and that the dog be returned to her. Ack! Clarity tells the Post the "funny" thing is that Ollie isn't even a purebreed, but won't say where the dog is while Carroll's lawyer says the dog "certainly doesn't belong to" Clarity. The funny thing to Gothamist is how the Post tries to describe the ex-roomies:

Clarity, who graduated from Pace University in 2002 with a degree in communications, is known in the neighborhood as a quiet, hardworking person. Her Myspace.com profile lists her hero as Rush Limbaugh. more ›
