Earlier this week we took a very cool field trip to the New York Public Library's Carl H. Pforzheimer Collection of Shelley and His Circle, one of the Library's many troves of rare printed treasures. The Pforzenheimer Collection is one the world's largest resources devoted to English Romantic writers like Percy Shelley, his wife Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, and Lord Byron.

It's never been our place to discriminate; we think every borough has something romantic and fun to offer. But let's face it, given the choice between being romanced in the West Village or romanced out in Ozone Park, more people would probably choose Blue Hill. In case that wasn't obvious enough, NY1 confirmed it with a poll [pdf]. According to 657 city residents, 64% think Manhattan is the most romantic borough. And somehow, Staten Island is more romantic than the Bronx.

Valentine's Day Dining Options Around NYC
It is upon us. Everything's been pink for about three weeks now, and hetero guys are wandering around in a daze trying to remember their girlfriend's cup size. Pitch a Tent at Egyptian Restaurant Casa La Femme
Owners of the high-concept Egyptian restaurant Casa La Femme are hoping the third time's a charm for their palatial new home in the West Village. The original location in Soho was famous for its grass floor, among other things; it then moved uptown in 2004, and Casa's now settling in on Charles Street, in a space that's twice the size of the original restaurant, with room for 200 diners.
