FOOD: Those with a taste for expensive ham and the means to pay for it will be tantalized by tonight’s one-night-only 5 course tasting menu at Suba, a Spanish restaurant on the Lower East Side. Chef Seamus Mullen has obtained the prized “Rolls Royce of Ham” – Jamón Ibérico – and will be offering it tonight with Ossabaw Island hogs and Iberian wine. There are just a few seatings still available for tonight's event, which will also feature a winter salad with raw artichokes and pine mushrooms and a gnocchi dish with littleneck clams, among other delicacies. If the $110 price tag seems steep for the tasting menu and wine pairings, just think: The first shipments of ibérico ham that arrived last month after USDA restrictions were lifted cost $90-$99 a pound at Despaña. – John Del Signore

Last weekend the first-ever “Cook. Eat. Drink. Live,” event turned Pier 94 into a top-shelf playground. Gourmets and gearheads alike flocked to the furthest reaches of West 55th Street and found much to drool over thanks to an extensive roster of wines and spirits and a fleet of luxury cars ranging from a stately Rolls Royce to a sleek Spyder.

Port Authority police arrested a man and impounded his Rolls Royce after he allegedly offered an undercover cop a ride from Kennedy International Airport for $70. Police told the New York Post that Mark Henig approached an undercover officer at Kennedy and asked "Do you need a ride? I have a Rolls-Royce." After Henig led the officer to a parking lot where the Rolls Royce was waiting, the cop arrested him for operating an unlicensed for-hire vehicle and Henig was charged with unlawful solicitation of ground transportation, which carries a possible fine of $1,000.
