But given that last month, the Wendy's/Arby's Group Inc. announced that it would attempt to jettison Arby's due to lackluster sales, a more pertinent question might be "can a new sandwich save a franchise?" Brooklyn's first ever Arby's is thisclose to opening. The fast food chain has taken over the landmark Gage and Tollner building on Fulton Street — where a classy eatery once operated, even serving starlets like Mae West.
