This morning wasn't quite as cold in the city as anticipated. JFK and Newark Liberty airports both set record lows, reaching down to 28 degrees. The LaGuardia and Central Park temperatures were low, but not record low. On Long Island, Islip smashed their record low. It got down to 21 degrees –eight degrees below the previous record set in 1993. Congratulations Islip!
