There was heated competition for the licenses to sell food in the pretty new Pier 1 of Brooklyn Bridge Park, and when the cookie crumbled, the popular Red Hook Lobster Pound was beaten out by West Village seafood restaurant Ditch Plains. But instead of sulking away the summer back at headquarters, the L Pound has brought the ruckus to DUMBO, where they're now open for business just outside the park, under a tent put up by The Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory. "The [state] said they wanted to highlight the best of Brooklyn at the park. That's their own words," co-owner Susan Povich scornfully tells the Post.
