Despite a seemingly neverending revenue stream from legions of frat boys around the country, sales for Budweiser have been down recently, so to combat the loss, the diminished King of Beers is rolling out "sleek" new redesigned cans. Will the brodudes bite?

Final Two Tappan Zee Bridge Redesigns Revealed
Two years ago, the state announced plans to forgo repairing the Tappan Zee Bridge, and instead build a new bridge entirely. Yesterday, the Tappan Zee Bridge/Interstate 287 Corridor Project unveiled the final two possible redesigns. Plan 3 is a single-level span that would have room for trains to run in the middle, bus lanes on either side of the tracks, and car and trucks traveling in the outer lanes. Plan 5 is a dual-level bridge, and would take less time to construct. Trains would run underneath the north span, vehicle traffic would be on the top level, with two dedicated bus lanes in the center. Of course, they may not have the money currently to build either of them.
Kosciuszko Bridge Gets A Redesign (in 2014)
The Kosciuszko Bridge, one of the worst bridges in all of New York State—and the worst in New York City, is getting redesigned. Last night four possible designs for the bridge, which goes over Newtown Creek and connects Brooklyn and Queens, were unveiled by the DoT for residents to review and critique. The renderings are even accompanied by this amazingly soundtracked simulation video!
How Do You See The Taxi of Tomorrow?

Extreme MTA Website Makeover
Oooh la la: the MTA is getting a fancy website makeover! The NY Times previewed the redesign (the organization's first since 2003) — launching on Wednesday. Along with design improvements (goodbye drop down menus!), visitors to the site will also find real-time updates on delays and service changes. The paper notes that "a widget on the home page compiles continually updated service status for every subway, bus and commuter rail line in the region, along with nine of the bridges and tunnels operated by the authority." Everything is color-coded and categorized to make the site more user-friendly. Plus, they've added a HopStop-esque feature to help you navigate the city.
Coney Island Gets Re-Imagined
The Municipal Art Society (MAS) had their intense redesign Coney Island workshop at the end of last week, and as promised they've released their ideas to the public today. The concept and design is portrayed in the renderings above (so many robots and clowns!), and MAS says "The concept, which would include a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities, can be implemented immediately (Summer 2009) and would take advantage of the parcels of undeveloped land in Coney Island, much of which is now vacant or operating as street-level parking."
NY1 Re-Launches Its Website
If you went to NY1's website this morning, your mind might have exploded, because there's a re-design! NY1.com's webmaster Marc Nathanson says the site has beefed up its video offerings, "We've converted all the video in our archives going back to 1999 – that's about 70,000 clips – over to the current Flash video format. With our search function, you can just as easily see a video from 20 minutes ago as you can from eight years ago.”
