The Australian sheep farmer who was acquitted of drugging and raping a LI speech therapist is heading back to Australia...but not before he sues his accusers. Australian David Green says he plans to file a $1 million lawsuit against the two women whose false accusations of date rape led to him spending more than a year and a half in Rikers. "They took 18 months from me," he told reporters today as he left Manhattan Supreme Court.

As film director Roman Polanski remains in Swiss custody, after being arrested on a U.S. arrest warrant for the 1977 rape of a 13-year-old, his moviemaking brethren are rallying to his side. A number of notable film notables, including Martin Scorsese, Woody Allen, David Lynch, Jonathan Demme, and Pedro Almodovar, have reportedly signed a petition demanding his release. However, it's unlikely he'll be released on bail anytime soon.
Queens Councilman's Rape Indictment Dismissed
Queens City Councilman Dennis Gallagher, whose office was raided last July after rape allegations and was indicted by a grand jury in August, is smiling - for now. A judge dismissed the indictment, believing the defense's claim that the "grand jury process was compromised." The jurors had complained the prosecutors were trying to make Gallagher look "foolish."
