After successfully fending off a heavy rape allegation, life is back to normal for Good Day New York co-host Greg Kelly, son of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly. Greg Kelly's Accuser Identified, Evidence Of "Mutual Lustfulness" Got Anchor Off

As expected, last night the Manhattan DA formally declined to press charges against "Good Day New York" host Greg Kelly, who was accused of raping a woman in her office last October. And the NY Post wasted no time identifying his accuser: They say name her is Maria di Toro, and there are some glamor shots of her here. Di Toro has yet to issue a public statement, but last night reporters confronted her mother outside her Port Washington, Long Island home. more ›

Greg Kelly Still Hasn't Spoken To Investigators, Which Is Totally Normal?

Greg Kelly Still Hasn't Spoken To Investigators, Which Is Totally Normal?

A layman might think that when somebody gets accused of rape, one of the investigators' top priorities would be to interview the suspect, to get his side of the story on record. But it seems this is not the way it works, at least not for Greg Kelly, a local TV news host and son of the NYPD Commissioner. An unidentified woman filed a complaint against Kelly more than a week ago, but investigators have still not spoken to Kelly, whose attorney says he's innocent. more ›

NYPD Sources: Ray Kelly's Son Had Consensual Sex, Not Rape

NYPD Sources: Ray Kelly's Son Had Consensual Sex, Not Rape

At this stage it's impossible to predict the outcome of the Manhattan DA's investigation into Greg Kelly's alleged rape of an unidentified woman last October, but while we wait we may as well pass the time speculating on the identify of the woman's boyfriend. Kelly, the co-host of "Good Day New York" and son of NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly, has not been charged, and because of the high profile nature of the case, the DA's office is said to be proceeding with extreme caution (the bitter backwash of the Dominique Strauss-Kahn investigation is probably another factor). But one unidentified source tells the Daily News the investigation could be wrapped up soon—and the tabloid has all but identified the boyfriend of Kelly's accuser. more ›

Greg Kelly's Texts With Rape Accuser Were "Two Days Of Foreplay"

Greg Kelly's Texts With Rape Accuser Were "Two Days Of Foreplay"

This week, Greg Kelly, son of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly and co-host of "Good Day New York," was accused of—but not charged with—raping an unidentified young woman in her Manhattan office. Sources have told the dailies that Kelly had text messages from the woman after the encounter of a "flirtatious" nature, including lines like "‘It was good time? Was it as nice for you? Do you want to do it again?’” Now a Post source is being even more clear-cut about those texts, which occurred both before and after the alleged rape: “The texts were explicit. They were sexual. They talked about what they wanted to do to each other. It was two days of foreplay.” more ›

Sources: Greg Kelly Has "Flirtatious" Texts To Prove Sex Was Consensual

After being accused of—but not charged with—raping an unidentified young woman in her Manhattan office, Greg Kelly—son of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly and co-host of a"Good Day New York"—has been laying low. Kelly has denied the allegation through his attorney and not spoken publicly, but behind the scenes, sources have been talking to the press. Yesterday it was revealed that the woman had an abortion after her boozy encounter with Kelly, and now some are saying the Manhattan DA has doubts about the case. Of course, it goes without saying that all these unidentified sources talking to the tabloids may be people inside the NYPD with an interest in protecting the Commissioner's son. Update, 1/28: Now it's reported that the accuser's brother works for the NYPD. more ›

"Rape Cop" Lawyer: Accuser Is A Lying Gold Digger

"Rape Cop" Lawyer: Accuser Is A Lying Gold Digger

The defense rested its case yesterday in the trial of two NYPD officers accused of participating in the rape of a drunken young woman after helping her into her East Village apartment in December 2008. In delivering his closing arguments to the jury, the lawyer for alleged lookout Officer Franklin Mata portrayed the accuser as a gold-digging inebriate who shouldn't be trusted. "There are more holes in this case than a slice of Swiss cheese," attorney Edward Mandery told the jury. "Don’t fault my client because she drank so much alcohol that night she can’t remember her own actions." As for her motives, Mandery advised his client's peers to follow the money. more ›

East Village "Rape Cop" Trial Testimony Turns Towards Window Treatments

East Village "Rape Cop" Trial Testimony Turns Towards Window Treatments

A friend and neighbor of an East Village woman who claims that two police officers raped her testified yesterday, saying that the alleged victim's windows' blinds and curtain were shut, which was "very unusual." Megan O'Leary explained that the blinds in the kitchen window, which could be seen from a window in the stairwell, "were always open so we could see each other in passing," but when she saw her friend after the alleged rape, "the blinds were drawn and shut." Also, her living room window curtains were closed, and they were usually tied back. more ›

Businessman Acquitted of Rape Rap Sues Standard Hotel

After seeing his name dragged through the mud, an Australian businessman acquitted of trying to rape a maid is suing The Standard hotel for $10 million. Matthew Moorhouse, 42, was accused of throwing the unidentified maid onto the bed and trying to force himself upon her, until another worker came to her rescue. But he convinced a jury that the maid made up the story after he caught her rifling through his bag. His lawsuit against The Standard charges that the hotel's "racy atmosphere contributed to the false charges against him," the Post reports. Anyway, this is as good an excuse as any to revisit these NSFW photos of The Standard's racy top floor pool, Le Bain. more ›

The man who was accused of being involved in a gang rape of a Hofstra University student, only for the student to recant her claim and admit the sex was consensual because there was a video of the encounter, is on the cover of the Post today. While Arvin Rivera, an 18-year-old senior at Harry S. Truman HS in The Bronx, was not arrested, he tells the paper, "I was so afraid. Words cannot even begin to describe how I was feeling inside. Jets Player's Annoyed Neighbor Chases, Threatens Paparazzi

After news that a woman claimed she was raped in the Morristown, NJ home of Jets safety Kerry Rhodes, the press—namely the tabloids—is staked out by Rhodes' fancy condominium. Rhodes is not suspected in the rape, but the media invasion was too much for Rhodes' neighbors. According to the Daily Record, when Rhodes drove away from his home, "The photographers sprang to action, snapping photos of Rhodes, who wore a baseball cap slung low as he sped down MacCulloch toward Route 202. A neighbor, however, was incensed by their actions and chased photographers down MacCulloch, screaming expletives and threats." The police eventually arrived and asked photographers from the NY Post and Daily News "to keep their distance," noting that the Morristown police "[doesn't] have the resources to keep a car out here." The police are investigating whether a friend of Rhodes is involved. more ›
