Greg Kelly's Accuser Identified, Evidence Of "Mutual Lustfulness" Got Anchor Off

Greg Kelly's Accuser Identified, Evidence Of "Mutual Lustfulness" Got Anchor Off

As expected, last night the Manhattan DA formally declined to press charges against "Good Day New York" host Greg Kelly, who was accused of raping a woman in her office last October. And the NY Post wasted no time identifying his accuser: They say name her is Maria di Toro, and there are some glamor shots of her here. Di Toro has yet to issue a public statement, but last night reporters confronted her mother outside her Port Washington, Long Island home. more ›

Greg Kelly Still Hasn't Spoken To Investigators, Which Is Totally Normal?

Greg Kelly Still Hasn't Spoken To Investigators, Which Is Totally Normal?

A layman might think that when somebody gets accused of rape, one of the investigators' top priorities would be to interview the suspect, to get his side of the story on record. But it seems this is not the way it works, at least not for Greg Kelly, a local TV news host and son of the NYPD Commissioner. An unidentified woman filed a complaint against Kelly more than a week ago, but investigators have still not spoken to Kelly, whose attorney says he's innocent. more ›

NYPD Sources: Ray Kelly's Son Had Consensual Sex, Not Rape

NYPD Sources: Ray Kelly's Son Had Consensual Sex, Not Rape

At this stage it's impossible to predict the outcome of the Manhattan DA's investigation into Greg Kelly's alleged rape of an unidentified woman last October, but while we wait we may as well pass the time speculating on the identify of the woman's boyfriend. Kelly, the co-host of "Good Day New York" and son of NYPD commissioner Ray Kelly, has not been charged, and because of the high profile nature of the case, the DA's office is said to be proceeding with extreme caution (the bitter backwash of the Dominique Strauss-Kahn investigation is probably another factor). But one unidentified source tells the Daily News the investigation could be wrapped up soon—and the tabloid has all but identified the boyfriend of Kelly's accuser. more ›

Greg Kelly's Texts With Rape Accuser Were "Two Days Of Foreplay"

This week, Greg Kelly, son of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly and co-host of "Good Day New York," was accused of—but not charged with—raping an unidentified young woman in her Manhattan office. Sources have told the dailies that Kelly had text messages from the woman after the encounter of a "flirtatious" nature, including lines like "‘It was good time? Was it as nice for you? Do you want to do it again?’” Now a Post source is being even more clear-cut about those texts, which occurred both before and after the alleged rape: “The texts were explicit. They were sexual. They talked about what they wanted to do to each other. It was two days of foreplay.” more ›

Greg Kelly's Rape Accuser Has Family Ties To NYPD, Too

This week, Greg Kelly, son of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly and co-host of "Good Day New York," was accused of—but not charged with—raping an unidentified young woman in her Manhattan office. It's now been revealed that the rape accuser, a 30-year-old law firm employee who the Post describes as "an aspiring model and actress," also has family ties to the NYPD—the Post reports that her brother is a crime-scene investigator for the NYPD who previously worked in the Internal Affairs Bureau. And it seems she was inspired to report the alleged rape because of Kelly's famous dad encouraging New Yorkers to come forward to report all crimes: “Her boyfriend was telling her, ‘You see, even his father is telling people to report crime,’” a source told DNAinfo. more ›

After being accused of—but not charged with—raping an unidentified young woman in her Manhattan office, Greg Kelly—son of NYPD Commissioner Ray Kelly and co-host of a"Good Day New York"—has been laying low. Kelly has denied the allegation through his attorney and not spoken publicly, but behind the scenes, sources have been talking to the press. Yesterday it was revealed that the woman had an abortion after her boozy encounter with Kelly, and now some are saying the Manhattan DA has doubts about the case. Of course, it goes without saying that all these unidentified sources talking to the tabloids may be people inside the NYPD with an interest in protecting the Commissioner's son. Update, 1/28: Now it's reported that the accuser's brother works for the NYPD. more ›

FBI Finally Acknowledges That Men Can Be Raped

Did you know that before this week, the FBI didn't recognize that men could be raped? Since 1927, rape has been defined by the FBI as the "carnal knowledge of a female forcibly and against her will." But thanks to a new provision, that definition is finally being updated. "Rape is a devastating crime and we can't solve it unless we know the full extent of it,'' said Vice President Joe Biden, who worked closely with advocates on the issue. "This long-awaited change to the definition of rape is a victory for women and men across the country whose suffering has gone unaccounted for over 80 years." more ›

"The defendant is an architect of his own ruin. He deserves no mercy from me and he won't get any," Buchter said, calling him a “diabolical conniver who shamelessly exploited the criminal justice system.” more ›

Today, the arresting officer testified about Pena's state that morning: "I looked at his shield and I threw it to the ground in disgust," said Officer Timothy Kraft, according to DNAInfo. more ›

Video: South Park Eviscerates Penn State Alleged Child Abuse Scandal

As more and more twisted details about the Penn State scandal and former coach Jerry Sandusky's alleged sexual abuse of children comes to light, it seems as though there's no end to this horrible story. Moreover, there doesn't seem to be any appropriate way to be humorous about this scandal—but that didn't stop South Park from hilariously ripping the whole thing last night with a seemingly endless slew of purposefully terrible jokes about the terrible subject (as well as a hefty dose of self-awareness). Watch a supercut (via SB Nation) of all the Penn State-related jokes below: more ›

Penn State, Police, Deny McQueary Reported Sandusky's Sexual Antics

Whatever Jerry Sandusky, the former Penn State football coach charged with sexually abusing a string of young boys, was hoping to get from his much-maligned interview with Bob Costas earlier this week it doesn't seem to be working. His claims that sexual misconduct was just "horseplay" has reportedly emboldened a number of other alleged victims to come forward while firming the resolve of those who already spoke out. Meanwhile, more questions are being asked about Mike McQueary, the assistant coach currently on paid leave whose testimony against Sandusky is key to the case. For instance? Turns out McQueary went to a fundraiser for Sandusky's charity a year after he says he saw him raping a 10-year-old in the Penn State showers. more ›
